Beautiful nature reserve well maintained by volunteers. Benches to sit on. Lots of butterflies. Lovely place to visit.

Penarth Pier Pavilion

A fully restored Art Deco Pier Pavilion housing a gallery, cinema, cafe and restaurant. The pavilion offers an exciting film and exhibition programme and a full events schedule including live music and locally sourced food and drink that can be enjoyed with a sea view. The Pavilion is a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to engaging with the community through the arts and the environment.

Beautiful views, plenty of seating and a particularly attractive pier with great chips and gorgeous ice cream (Joe’s) as well. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and clearly very popular with locals of all ages, which was really nice to see.

Hi just to let everybody know Cosmeston Medieval Village is no longer free entry, and the opening hours and charges can be found below. (Cosmeston Lakes Country Park and Medieval Village) Opening Hours: The village is open between 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the summer and from 10.00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the winter. Guided tours are 10:30, 12.00, 1:30 and 3,00 o'clock during both the summer and winter. Tickets for guided tours can be purchased from the main reception in the country park and must be purchased no later than 15mins prior to tour start time. Guided tours and audio tours are subject to school parties, groups and events. Please call ahead to check availability. Audio guides can be purchased from the main reception in the country park and operate from 10.00 until 4 in the summer and 3.00 in the winter. The village is closed on the following dates: Dec 24, 25, 26 and Jan 01. Charges: Adults £5.10, Children and Concessions £3.60, Family 2 adults and 2 children under 16 £15.00,Family 2 adults and 3 children under 16 £17.50 Children under five free of charge,
