1st visit to the trails here and they certainly don't disappoint, did the black route straight off the bat and it broke me a little, did a bit of pushing up but the flies took a shine to me so stopping wasn't an option. The downhills are ace though and well worth the climbing, spooky wood is great fun and even the blue at the end is pretty mega with great flow, just a shame it's so far away.

Dawyck is truly one of the world's finest arboreta. Seasonal displays of abundant exotic and native plants provide a breathtaking backdrop of colour throughout the year. The Garden also offers an award-winning visitor centre, gift shop with plant sales and a cafe. Part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
If you want a relaxing and inspiring three hours, like big trees, bushes & shrubs, and enjoy areas of outstanding natural beauty, this is a great place to visit.

A regular cycle ride from Peebles to Innerleithen return, stopping for coffee either at Nashy’s in Cardrona or No 1 in Innerleithen....a sublime couple of hours. Following much of the disused railway line the route is dotted with information boards detailing the history of the buildings and railway route. Cutting through the Cardrona golf course the route is predominantly flat with an occasional small incline, the steepest part being between the tunnel under the A72 and Peebles, a mere bump for the experienced cyclist! Whole route is on tarmac so no more than sensible shoes required.

This large semi-formal, walled garden features rose gardens, herbaceous borders, well-stocked greenhouses and woodland walking trails.
Housed in a converted stable the Courtyard Cafe offers an excellent selection of food and drink. We thoroughly enjoyed our tea and scones by the log stove. Although they were slightly more expensive than those offered in similar venues in the Peebles area.
