Great tour on Oct 4, 2018 with City Unscripted guide - Beatrice! At my request, we spent much of our time in the Navigli neighborhood at dusk enjoying aperitivo and dinner. Beatrice knew all the charming places along the canal and also offered recommendations for the rest of my trip in Cinque Terre and Amalfi Coast. With friendly, personable Beatrice I felt I was experiencing Milan as a local. Thank you!

This tour far exceeded our expectations! At first we were a little surprised to be told we were going to a saffron farm, as that hadn't been mentioned previously. It actually turned out to be a fascinating experience. We got to try the local saffron, including saffron infused beer, honey along with some of the local cheese and meats. We then went to castello tricerchi for a tour of a vineyard, cellars and the castle itself. The place was stunningly beautiful, and we got to have a wine tasting in the castle itself. After that we went to Martoccia which was another beautiful vineyard just outside montalcino. The cellar tour was fascinating, and it was followed by a 4 course lunch with wine tasting. The food was spectacular, and the wine was incredible. We were lucky enough to be able to try the new 2015 brunello which hadn't even been labelled yet. Our tour guide Nadia was extremely knowledgable and very relaxed. The tour actually finished 2 hours late, but she didn't seem to mind. She even let us store our wine in her office so we could go and explore Montalcino in the evening. Fantastic tour. Would thoroughly recommend

3. Self wine tour from Milan with 3 special wineries

Bialetti, Piazza dei Mercanti, 7, 20123 Milano MI, Italy Winedering

We love Milan and during your stay for a few days we suggest you to experience this incredible self drive tour with a combo of 3 very interesting wineries that will allow you to discover the secrets of the local wine production. This is not a GUIDED TOUR. Your first stop will be a family business company that is 1 hour from Milan, so our suggestion is to leave the city around 9/9.15 am. You'll meet the wine hospitality manager of the family that will bring you through a very interesting vineyard tour and explanation of the history of the company, before proceeding with the first wine tasting of the day! After the tour you go towards Pavia, where you meet another small producer. A completely different atmosphere, more informal and familiar and still with a very interesting history to share and great products to taste. Then you have some free time on your own in Pavia. On your way back to Milan your final stop will be at the Cantina Urbana of Milan, a brand new project of urban winery!

Inclusions: 3 wineries visited and 3 different wine tasting experiences

Exclusions: Private transportation, Lunch
