Established in 1910, Parksville is one of Canada's most popular summer destinations for families. Everyone loves Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, with its beaches, tidal flats and pools, wildlife, and campgrounds; and several other provincial parks are within half an hour's drive. Follow Vancouver Island's Highway 19 (Island Highway) to reach nearby Qualicum Beach and the Comox Valley.

The MAC is a venue for art exhibitions, music performances and other arts and culture events and classes. The exhibitions in our two galleries change every six weeks. We have concerts and story telling events every month. Our git shop is full of art, jewellery, sculpture and all kinds of things all made by local artisans. There's always something going on!
I try to visit the MAC Centre at least once a month to view the exhibitions, and attend an art opening when applicable. Fabulous talent and a great way to spend an hour of reflection. They offer magnificent classes - as a working woman I only wish that there could be more in the evening or on weekends as I truly miss figure drawing. I know this will be available in time post-pandemic. The gift shop is a wonderful addition to to community full of many interesting local finds. If you havent checked the MAC Centre out - I highly recommend popping in periodically throughout the year :)

WOW! Took a glass blowing lesson and fulfilled a bucket list item. It was an incredible experience and of course you get to keep what you make.

We first met Fengy of Fengy Boutique at the Coombs Emporium food booth. She was temporarily operating it for her grown children, who run it. She was delightfully pleasant and welcoming. Food was great. We were one of the last customers of the day, and returned as one of the first the next morning. After a terrible motel experience, seeing Fengy's smiling face brightened our day. She made us some breakfast (delicious free range eggs and organic coffee), then ran over to her boutique to open it. She is extremely hard working, and seems to genuinely care about her customers, trying to make it a pleasant experience for them. It's amazing just to walk through Fengy Boutique, looking at the beautiful clothing and wood carvings. We bought some jewelry, including a beautiful Murano glass heart necklace. She shared some history on the place, which was quite fascinating. After all of the Covid 19 restrictions, this was our first trip away from home. Fengy was the highlight :) It felt so good to have such positive interactions with people outside of our little "bubble". Thank you for a memorable experience. Please support this wonderful business owner as BC recovers from the economic toll of Covid 19.
