My and my son's first major climb. The Mt. Arayat is a no joke to climb. In my experience, the backbreaking part is the lateral trail through the boulders and that you will hold onto the big roots of trees. That part, I was far from our guide and companions that if I have to wait on them will consume my energy much. I am puzzled where to place my hands and feet as I advanced my steps. It's like torturing my body and mind. Glad, I didn't panic! Also, I was thinking about the chance of surviving if the heavy rain falls. Yes, it rained that day but with fine drops falling. Lucky day! What else to expect if you're planning to trail the Pinnacle Peak and the South Peak? There is a monkey trail, 90 degrees trail, 9 hours of trekking, the view from the top, the city lights if you are going to ascend the mountain at the crack of dawn, the towering Balite and Kamagong trees and fresh air.

Visited the Aqua Beach club on my way to Subic and stayed overnight. It’s nicely architectural done place to stay at Pampnaga. Good ambience, nice rooms and laughing working staff. Welcomed with Taqila drink and water, with free local travel car. Had few drinks at Aqua club followed by morning breakfast. Nice food served by Rose and Rona with a beautiful smile. Don’t miss to see Marvin!!
