l Loved the whole area as you have so many options available, good parking, toilets lots for the kids to look at and really go for it and just be kids just keep and eye on them with the river never far away. Great area for the dogs as well with different areas to take them and water available and a fenced dog area as well as a little obstacle course. Heaps of fields and places to run around bike tracks and a walk through some beautiful bush with trees all around which was lovely and cool on a very hot day.

Walk through the rose garden during bloom time. See the colours on display. Breathe in the fragrant scents, especially the Double Delight variety There are more than 80 varieties to see. Take a stroll around the adjoining park to see the birds or cross the road to see the Manawatu River and walk along its bank. Also enjoy the cherry blossoms at the entrance during spring time.
