Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is a conservation and education charity located in South Devon. With around 2,500 animals across 80 acres, we have more species than anyone else in the South West. These include: lions, tigers, giraffes, crocodiles, rhinos, lemurs, flamingos, meerkats, orang-utans, Komodo dragon... the list is endless! We also have indoor and outdoor play areas, the Jungle Express train, a seasonal bird show and numerous food and drink outlets. With something for guests of any age to enjoy, you'll need all day to experience what we have to offer! Paignton Zoo is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).

We regularly visit the Geopark when we are in Paignton. It's just off the beach and there's activities for all ages. In the summer the water and sand pit are great fun - make sure you bring a change of clothes or something you don't mind the kids getting wet. There's swings, a mini trampoline and small climbing frame for little kids, and for older kids there are some huge structures for them to climb over.

Beautiful views across Torbay, with good quality access and approach under the railway viaduct, and a large car park with very reasonable parking charges. Pleasant beachside cafe/coffee shop with very friendly staff who could not have been any more helpful. Take a little walk round and up onto the beautiful headland where it opens out into a large common, which is just the happiest place for dogs! The beach promenade is also easy to access for anyone who might struggle with steps (and wheelchair users, parents with prams etc) as the route from the car park to the promenade is level and well-surfaced. There are plenty of public benches both around the promenade and on the common beyond.

When the tide is low, you can see it heaving with fish - such a great sight. Less busy than other harbours in Torbay, making a great location to watch the boats go by, or have a trip yourself!
