Things to do in Page, Arizona (AZ): The Best Multi-day Tours

March 22, 2022 Vivienne Hutton

It may be difficult to believe that a mere half century ago, the land beneath Page, Arizona and Lake Powell was a vast and bleak desert landscape. Carved out of the rocky terrain, Page sits atop Manson Mesa and overlooks the 186-mile long lake, the dramatic Glen Canyon Dam and the surrounding canyons, arches and historical Native ruins. A mild climate year-round makes Page the perfect central hub for visiting the Grand Circle sites, as well as the neighboring Navajo Nation, home to Window Rock.

I had such a good experience last year I brought my family back to Vegas just to take some Bindlestiff tours. We went to Death Valley with Tim and it was phenomenal. We all had a great time. It’s basically a sampler platter of quick experiences but that’s perfect for a family with kids. We got to see so much packed into one day. Tim is an excellent guide: friendly, knowledgeable, passionate. The van is very comfortable with plenty of cold water, and lots of restroom stops if you need that. I highly recommend this tour when you’re in vegas, you won’t regret it.

Few people see the mighty Grand Canyon National Park from the remote North Rim. Here a wide web of jeep tracks lead to remote and almost inaccessible wilderness and the best view points on the entire Grand Canyon. Our local guides take you to the Grand Canyon rarely seen by tourists. You get to see the inaccessible Toroweap overlook, reachable only by sturdy 4x4. Then we jeep onto the North Rim, the remote rim of the Grand Canyon. We camp and hike along the Rainbow Rim Trail with stunning views into the abyss of the canyon below. On the return to Las Vegas, we have a chance to walk the world’s longest and deepest Narrows, hidden in the Paria Wilderness. Most of the sights of this itinerary are reachable only on 4x4 tracks through the desert and forest and there are no hotels. We will spend 3 nights camping in the wilds without any infrastructure. There will be no electricity, running water, and limited cell reception on this trip. We will bring an emergency signaling device.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, All Fees and Taxes

Exclusions: We ask that you bring your own sleeping bag.

Susanne and Team really delivered, tailoring an itinerary to match my tastes, weather, and budget. Cameron the guide was also amazing - knowledgeable, flexible, and a great travel partner. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!

You will be very busy the whole day for three days on this tour. They cover many places so you must be prepared to be very punctual with the time they give you. The walks are long so wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Enjoy the views, have fun, and get incredible pictures. Dorit is an amazing guide. She will explain a little bit of history in every place that you arrive and also will take awesome pictures of you and your group. I totally recommend this experience to anyone.
