Since its development in 1970, this island has become a man-made paradise and wildlife reserve.
We booked this thru Sunwing Vacations on our first all inclusive vacation in Mexico. We had s great day we were picked up by our tour guide at our hotel Holiday Inn Resort. It was approximately 15 minute drive to where we were dropped off with our tour guide to the water taxi to Ixtapa Island. It was a 5 minute walk to the area for snorkeling. Our package included transportation from and to our Resort water Taxi to and from Ixtapa island our snorkeling gear 1hr guided tour around the reef. We were able to snorkel on our own as well. It was moderate activity. Lunch and a beverage water beer or soda was included in our package price. It was a great day friendly tour guide snd snorkel guide. The food at Lili's restaurant was amazing. We were sble to see so many types of fish feeding on the coral reef. The tour was 5hrs in total. Picked up at 9:30am and dropped off by 4pm. We were on Ixtapa island fm 10am-3pm. It was good value.

A friendly crew bright and early in the morning, whales, birds and dolphins all around us during our boat ride too the Bay of Banderas. We are now going to snorkeling the magnificent waters of the Marietas Islands to explore the eco system for a prolific array of sea life. Many beautiful colored fish turtles and birds. After discovering all the beauty we set sail on our catamaran to a secluded beach for lunch and drinks then home bound with a very funny entertaining show by the staff. Unfortunately I can only remember David name but his crew is extremely wonderful, fun and very cute. Highly recommend it for all vacationers. Thanks for a great experience.

Except for Semana Santa, this area is a tranquil beach with few of the rolling waves experienced elsewhere in Mazatlán. There are a couple of restaurants, notably Los Chivos, where you can get very good fish and shrimp dishes with a cold beer to wash them down. Definitely worth the $30 peso round trip via the launcha from Playa Sur and a 15 minute walk or $50 peso truck ride down from the embarcadero. Check the tide charts before you come!

With nothing but coconut trees, beaches and open-air restaurants for 14 km, this is where the locals go to relax.

Take a glass-bottom boat and explore this small island, which has nice beaches, restaurants and a zoo.
I live fairly close to Isla Roqueta and love being able to go over and explore. At 100 pesos (roughly $5 USD) roundtrip you really can't beat it. There's a nice beach, a restaurant that serves delicious food and drinks, and trails. There are also several secluded beaches you can find on the island. I'd definitely recommend going over to see it if you're in Acapulco.

Amphibious vehicles take vacationers to this uninhabited island off Mazatlan for snorkeling trips and other beach activities.
Every aspect of this trip was amazing! Lovely views on the way to the island, drinks and music. What makes this a great excursion is that when you get to the island you can snorkel, kayak, go for a banana boat ride, chill on the beach, play volleyball, go for a walk or whatever you like and you can basically make your own day. Also includes drinks and a nice lunch. We went for a banana boat ride and snorkelled which was great, shallow clear water so you get to see a lot of fish! Overall a perfect trip and I'd definitely go again
