Independent cinema screening a diverse mix of mainstream, independent, foreign, classic and cult films
We hadn't been here for a while and I had forgotten how good this place is. A bar in the theatre, minimal annoying ads and an audience that doesn't annoy you by munching crisps or popcorn through the movie. A favourite place of ours.

We are a small but influential theatre, cinema and arts centre in the cotswolds - one of the smallest producing theatres in the country. We welcome over 50,000 people a year through our doors for a mixture of theatre, arthouse cinema, music, comedy, dance and participatory workshops. Hope to see you here soon!
This is a small local little theatre that is staffed mostly by local volunteers. They show films, live telecasts (Opera Ballet etc) ,put on plays, pantomimes and host comedy acts. There are several things on every week. Getting tickets for the headline acts is a bit of a mission but worth it when you do. Its small, old fashioned and intimate and the seating is a bit primitive. The atmosphere for live shows is extremely good and the audience usually seem to have had a good time, The bar is open at the interval and drinks can be taken in to the Auditorium. Do the local pubs for early dinner before, then for a night cap afterwards. Super night out!!!!

Cosy 3 screen art house cinema with a bar for drinks and snacks plus a cafe serving locally produced cakes and freshly prepared wraps and toasted sandwiches. The Regal Picturehouse is a short walk from the river in Henley, and is easily accessible by public transport.
A lovely compact cinema in Henley-on-Thames with very helpful staff, easy access for wheelchairs and parking close by.

For the first time in thirty years we are delighted to bring a brand new state of the art cinema to Abingdon! Presenting... a modern cinema in a medieval setting with a newly installed state of the art digital projection and Dolby sound system. Set up in an ancient monument, The Unicorn contains an exquisite theatre where guests can cosy up and enjoy a glass of wine with the latest film. The Unicorn is a true community venue and in addition to films and screenings hosts live events.

This is a clean welcoming cinema, with friendly staff. Good location in the centre of Bicester. Parking is free after 7pm in the Sainsburys car park as well.

Local, friendly art-house independent cinema located in the heart of Jericho.
We stumbled across this by accident, having been Christmas shopping and finishing supper early. Great little cinema and disappointed I have only found it now. You can park outside, the staff are great and the seats comfortable. Be careful with the cheese crisps thought. They were disgusting! All in all a great experience and one we will repeat again and again!

I've been to this cinema twice now, and have enjoyed the experience immensely. We're very lucky in Oxford now with several cinemas catering for those who want to see independent/arts films as well as the block busters. The Phoenix, The Ultimate Picture Palace, and now The Curzon are doing sterling work keeping Oxford's cinema goers, happy as Larry! The Curzon is beautiful, and the screens are excellently positioned for a full, immersive screening. The sound is not too loud, but really good. The seats, an they're so so comfy. The have sofas - useful for those really long films , where even the most committed film buff can get a bit fidgety! There's a bar and snacks available, but nothing smelly! The staff are very helpful and polite. A really good cinema, and a welcome addition. Only drawback, the lift was broken. Mend it soon, Curzon and become inclusive xx

f you are used to cinemas from famous chains ((Odeon, Vue...etc), you certainly know Cineworld. However, the Witney branch is like no other! I have been a faithful member of this cinema for the past 10 years, and I can honestly say that the many staff working there are providing a service beyond their pay and status. Smiling, courteous and serving you the biggest help of pop corn you have ever seen! They are patient and accommodating and the actual place is cosy and warm. A great cinema experience everytime I go...I cannot recommend this cinema branch more for any tourists or nearby Witney dwellers.
