In the "city of dreaming spires," academia takes center stage. Gaze out at Oxford's world-famous university from the top of Carfax Tower before heading into the city's pedestrian-friendly streets. Follow your nose to the Covered Market for the makings of a picnic to enjoy at Headington Hill Park. Mix the historic and modern with visits to the 12th-century village church of Iffley and trendy Cowley's ethnic shops and music venues.

Independent cinema screening a diverse mix of mainstream, independent, foreign, classic and cult films
We hadn't been here for a while and I had forgotten how good this place is. A bar in the theatre, minimal annoying ads and an audience that doesn't annoy you by munching crisps or popcorn through the movie. A favourite place of ours.

Local, friendly art-house independent cinema located in the heart of Jericho.
We stumbled across this by accident, having been Christmas shopping and finishing supper early. Great little cinema and disappointed I have only found it now. You can park outside, the staff are great and the seats comfortable. Be careful with the cheese crisps thought. They were disgusting! All in all a great experience and one we will repeat again and again!

I've been to this cinema twice now, and have enjoyed the experience immensely. We're very lucky in Oxford now with several cinemas catering for those who want to see independent/arts films as well as the block busters. The Phoenix, The Ultimate Picture Palace, and now The Curzon are doing sterling work keeping Oxford's cinema goers, happy as Larry! The Curzon is beautiful, and the screens are excellently positioned for a full, immersive screening. The sound is not too loud, but really good. The seats, an they're so so comfy. The have sofas - useful for those really long films , where even the most committed film buff can get a bit fidgety! There's a bar and snacks available, but nothing smelly! The staff are very helpful and polite. A really good cinema, and a welcome addition. Only drawback, the lift was broken. Mend it soon, Curzon and become inclusive xx
