Artesian Mud Baths

Eulo Artesian mud baths are located in unique relaxed outdoor environments. Soak in warm artesian water impregnated with clay, pat on milky grey natural mud and let your skin soak in the goodness from this mineral rich mud. The clays and minerals cleanse, tone and revitalise your skin and body. Artesian mud mixed with minerals from shales deep below the earth's surface, rises to ground level near Eulo SW Qld. This natural phenomenon is known as mud mounds and over time dried mud has formed into grey-white hillocks. The whole experience takes about 1 - 11/2 hours and might be the most relaxing experience of your trip.

Meraki Reach

Meraki Reach is a place of wellness and a space to retreat. Somewhere to stay to rejuvenate the soul and nurture the self. Come for a treatment or stay for a week. A perfect place to visit after a trip to the Carnarvon National Park near Injune. Soothe your sore and tired body with a massage, spa and sauna. Combine this with an organic home cooked meal an overnight stay and watch the sun set.

Meraki Reach is a hidden oasis, the perfect place to take some time out and relax. Ellie is a fabulous host, and the entire experience is such a pleasure. I have been back a few times now, and it keeps getting better. The food is delicious and healthy, and the amenities wonderfully clean. Well worth the trip just beyond Injune.

Great Artesian Spa

Share the secret locals have known for years: a soak in our mineralized waters is relaxing for the body and therapeutic for the soul. Situated in Mitchell’s aquatic centre, the Great Artesian Spa comprises two large pools of artesian water. The spa has been designed for easy access, which includes a hydro chair for those who have restricted mobility. One of the pools has naturally heated waters from the Great Artesian Basin which is maintained at a comfortable temperature designed to relax tired muscles, ease tension and revitalize both body and mind. The other pool is designed for those who prefer a cooler experience. Mitchell’s Information Centre is also located within the Complex along with a FREE gym and award winning Cafe on the Deck. Open everyday except Christmas Day, the Great Artesian Spa is a great place to work out, dine out or simply chill out!!

I’m a hot spring/Onsen fanatic (Iceland, Japan, New Zealand). And although this is really not a thermal pool like the other places I’ve visited it’s a super little place. It’s Artesian water, warm, pure and a little salty - good for your skin and well being. Two small pools one of 29 degrees C and the other 43.5c. And that one is good for just 15 minutes. There are a few places to stay in Mitchell (it is truly a one horse town) and everything is in walking distance to the spa. It closes at 6pm in the evening (check the times) and in the mornings is open for breakfast on the deck. I enjoy Mitchell- the spa, the few pubs and the real hospitality.
