Booked a number of excursions through Travelocity using Albatravel. Really disappointed with our experience. We showed up at the train station in Venice per our instructions where it states, "Meet in xyz office." When we got there no one was there to meet us. The train station didn't know what to do with our vouchers. So needless to say we contacted Albatravel who responded promptly via email stating they had sent us everything we need in email. (referring to vouchers). First off, none of the vouchers were familiar to any of the different companies we were to use them for. Secondly, we bought a package that gave us bus tours around Rome. What they don't tell you is the time you get to the bus vrs. the time you need to be at your second booking in this package( Vatican) don't work out. You literally can't make your next stop in time to even get on the bus we had to take a cab. Once at the Vatican we had to stop and leave for the tour guide didn't get us started for almost an hour past the time indicated on our itinerary. So we then found out that the place they make you check your bag is closed and you need to walk (run) around the entire outside of the Vatican to the "Exit" for the museum to retrieve your bag. We ended up seeing the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica which were amazing! However we had to then get another cab to leave because the drop off and pick up bus package wasn't anywhere in site. We ended up getting to see the outside of the Colloseum for 5 minutes before we had the cab take us back to get our train home that night. Here's the kicker. When I looked at each cost for tickets, bus (which we couldn't use) and Vatican museum tours on the ground we would have saved a bundle of Euros by not using this package. If you asked me, "would I recommend to a friend?" Ha. Not even to an enemy. Details below: Rome Day Trip by High-Speed Train: 8:30 AM Departure with English Commentary Tour of the Vatican Museums

Our travel agent in the UK used Acampora for local arrangements on the ground for a private trip. They were superb - very reliable, knowledgeable guides, really helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate what we were interested in seeing/learning about, as well as to find great views and lunch places. Always on time and very professional. We were 2 people in a Mercedes people carrier and travelled on a day trip from Positano to Amalfi/Ravello/Scala, on another day Pompeii (4 hours with a guide!), and on our final day Herculaneum. We also spent a day without a car in Naples, at the Archaeological Museum (3 hours with a guide). The transfer from Naples to Positano was in the same Mercedes. Many thanks to Ugo the guide, Leonardo the driver, and also Giulia the guide!

10. Day Trip to Galatina and Otranto with lunch and wine tasting in a winery

Porta Napoli, Piazzetta Arco di Trionfo, 73100 Lecce LE, Italy Guided Tours of Puglia with Antonella and her team

If your aim is to discover Salento in the deep, this is the tour that suits your expectations. You will visit two gems of Salento territory, the elegant city of Galatina, 20 km far from Lecce, famous for the Basilica of Saint Catherine and its frescoes and the cosy Otranto, on the Adriatic coast, with its legacies of the Turkish invasion. Art and history are not enough to catch the soul of a region; you need to savor its aromas and flavors, especially if you are in one of the best Italian regions for oil and wine production. Your professional, local guide, will lead you in a typical farmhouse, the so called "masseria" to discover how people lived and worked two centuries ago. Inside you could visit the old oil mill, underneath, the bottaia, the place where wine is left aging. This will be also the location for a sensorial tasting of local food and wine. This will be a unique experience to enjoy Salento and its peculiarities!

Inclusions: Driver, Lunch, Fuel surcharge, Private transportation, Pick up and drop off

Exclusions: Gratuities
