Osoyoos (/ɒˈsuːjuːs/, historically /ˈsuːjuːs/) is the southern-most town in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia between Penticton and Omak. Near the border with Washington state, the town is also adjacent to the Indian Reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band. The origin of the name Osoyoos was the word sẁiẁs (pronounced "soo-yoos") meaning "narrowing of the waters" in the local Okanagan language (Syilx'tsn). The "O-" prefix is not indigenous in origin and was attached by settler-promoters wanting to harmonize the name with other place names beginning with O in the Okanagan Country (Oliver, Omak, Oroville, Okanogan). There is one local newspaper, the Osoyoos Times.

Lariana Cellars is a family-run, boutique winery in Osoyoos, British Columbia, focusing on small lot, premium wines.
This is a very small low production winery that is well worth the visit. Be careful as if you miss the turn, you will end up in the border crossing as it is right on the road that is the border. That alone was kinda cool to see. All of their wines were simply delicious and a great price point for the quality. Very personable and happy to giver you a quick tour and answer all of your questions, we went back for more wine to bring home.

At Nk’Mip Cellars, we are the dedicated guardians of a proud legacy. As the first Indigenous-owned winery in North America, we are inspired to express our culture in everything we do. Our Winery itself is a bold celebration and strong reflection of our commitment to authenticity and deep respect for our colourful past. We extend an invitation to discover, not only the international award-wining wines we produce, but also the relentless spirit and remarkable history that inspire them.
We fell in love with their Pinot Blanc - flinty, full bodied, clean and rich flavour - there are definitely grapes in the bottle. The other 4 wines were enjoyable too. Our tasting hostess was Karen - very charming, knowledgeable, one of the most "professional" tasting hostess in our over 100 winery visits worldwide. I feel the winery is more about making good wine than making money. I read about the Okanagan Indian Band Chief - Clarence Louie - it helped me understand the mission of the winery - superb but affordable wines. We lucked into speaking with Sam Baptiste, the General Manager of the Vineyards. He knows his grape stock in detail - the varietals, the clones, the suitable soils (Ok, terroir too!). His passion is incredible. The winery building is first class, the tasting room spacious and elegantly decorated, with huge native peoples content.

Combining tradition with modern artisan winemaking techniques, this Osoyoos winery showcases limited collections of Merlot, Syrah, Malbec and Zinfandel varietals as well as selections of proprietary blends. Young & Wyse are committed to nurturing every aspect of the time-honored tradition of grape growing and winemaking in the Okanagan. Our wine shop is open for winery visits and tastings, 11am to 5pm daily. We are pleased to announce that our 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2009 Merlot have just won Silver at the 2012 All Canadian Wine Championships!
We stopped here for a wine tasting and were pleasantly surprised how lovely this little winery was. Very cute setting and our pourer Jo-Jo was the best! We also met Michelle Young the owner who chatted with us. Definitely worth visiting here! We loved the wine. We will be back!

So Fantastic! A great experience from the moment you walk in you are greeted for a tasting and educated on the wide variety of wine produced by this family owned winery. It feels like your in Europe with an amazing view from the deck of the Osoyoos lake and valley with its dessert like climate. A must visit while in Osoyoos. The Cab is my favourite wine.

Created to capture the vision of la dolce vita - paying homage to the Italian ways - LaStella boldly stepped into the spotlight in 2006. Just as a symphony has its tempo, so do the musically inspired LaStella wines: Leggiero, Vivace, Allegretto, Fortissimo, and Maestoso. Situated by Osoyoos Lake in the South Okanagan Valley, at the northernmost tip of the Sonoran desert, LaStella's commitment to winemaking excellence is its driving force. Low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking philosophy is what has lead to their rise and sought-after following. Their award-winning wines are available nationwide and internationally at select culinary hot spots, and fine wine merchants. A symphony for the senses. Come visit us, our Tasting Room is open: Nov 1 - Mar 15 Mon-Fri 11am-5pm By Appointment. Mar 16- Jun 30: 7 days 11am-5pm. July 1 - Aug 31: 7 days 10am-6:30pm. Sept 1 -Oct 31: 7 days 11am- 5pm.
We were treated like family! We booked our tasting ahead and showed up to an amazing tasting experience with Alan. He was jovial and made the experience all the better as we chatted about wine, the uniqueness of La Stella and the experience he has had working there. I would recommend this spot as a must for anyone who enjoys Okanagan and Italian wines. Especially the reds! So few places have amazing reds, but this is one of them!

We called ahead to make a reservation and they were very accommodating with letting us choose our time. When we arrived we were given the option of sitting inside or out on their elegant patio (with a nice view). Our server was super friendly and chatted with us about the family-owned winery and helped us pick out which wines we'd like to try. Amazing descriptions of each wine throughout which helped us wine amateurs figure out which varietals were our fave. Gave great dinner recommendations too! Loved the whole experience and highly recommend.
