We have vacationed in the Sisters area a couple times over the recent years and included this hike on our itineraries. Our friends actually hired a limosine the first time we went there as we were all on bicycles and without cars. We went back this summer because it's close to Sisters, it's an easy hike for a rest day off the bike and the scenery and falls are beautiful.

My son and I went for a 14 mile hike up to the lowest viewpoint of Mt Hood, Reed Glacier, Sandy River's watefalls, from meadows on Yocum Ridge. Along the way there we meandered through the moss ladden trees amongst mushrooms and lichen to Ramona Falls with its mossy rocks and rainbows where sun peers through the shady trees.

This 620-foot cascade is the fifth-largest waterfall in the U.S.
My husband and I visited Multnomah Falls on a return trip to Portland as part of a trip down the West Coast. It's a breathtaking waterfall and I definitely consider it a must-see if you're in the area! The waterfall itself is everything you see in photos and more. It's worth seeing from the bottom, the bridge, and the top, if you're up for the hike. The hike itself is somewhat challenging as it is a mile hike up (800+ feet on a stead incline) and the same hike down, with lots of switchbacks and some slippery mud to navigate as you get close to the falls. The views are absolutely worth it along the trail and seeing the top of the falls from the viewing platform. It was free to visit, though I have heard there are some timed-tickets to deal with in the age of COVID and possibly some trail closures. Check their website for up-to-date information. When we went, parking had a pretty long wait. We were in a 30-minute+ queue to get a space. After that, it was relatively easy. There are a lot of people on the bridge and at the bottom, but people were respectful and spaced out enough that you could take pictures without being in a crowd. People were also spaced out and respectful of other hikers on the trail. Definitely make time for this if you are in the area!

Munson Creek Falls is quite nice and is set back in a quiet and restful place in the woods. Not heavily visited, but we stop whenever we are near Tillamook.

Sweetcreek falls is 10 miles off of the main road and it is a scenic drive there along the river. The parking is limited but most of the time it isn't crouded. There is a short walk to the first fall but if you keep going there are more falls to see, I think there are 6 or 7 falls all together. We have seen most of them but we are seniors so we have never made it to the top, everyone says the top fall is the biggest and it has a picnic table to sit at. Each fall is different and has it's own "personality". They are worth bringing a camer to get some great pictures.

An interesting trail to 2 wonderfully beautiful waterfalls. It says it is only 1 1/4 mile trail but after you are sure you have gone more than that, you all of a sudden find a waterfall. The trail could be rough for some people but an average person should be able to get within sight of the falls. We climbed down to the bottom of the lower falls and found it rather interesting getting back to the main trail. A very beautiful area.
