My son and I checked out Small Pony and were glad we did. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, offering us samples of a number of beers, all of them good. We ended up buying some to consume on site and taking bottles home. Don't let the bland strip mall exterior fool you: though modest, the bar area is attractive, overlooking vertical ranks of barrels. The beer produced is a welcome change of pace from typical craft beer offerings, which lean towards British-and-U.S-inspired styles. A bonus is that Big Rig is just around the corner and the Calabogie brew pub just down the road.

Located within walking distance of the CN Tower and Rogers Center, Steam Whistle Brewing occupies Bays 1-14 within the old John Street Roundhouse building, a designated National Historic Site that was previously home to the Canadian Pacific Railway steam locomotive repair facility. Thousands of visitors visit this brewery every year to attend one of the on-site events or take a tour of how the company brews its own Pilsner.
Stop. Don’t even try another craft beer while in Toronto. This is the one for you. Steam Whistle only brews one beer but it’s a hell of a beer. Crisp, flavourful and refreshing. If you’re stopping in for a cold one the incredibly pleasant and down to Earth staff will happily greet you and offer you a free sample of their beer — which was likely freshly brewed that day! The brewery itself though has evolved into something more — an experience. It’s always been a treat to visit the brewery but over the years it’s improved dramatically. The staff as so young and friendly. The beer is cheap. The brewery is usually home to art exhibits to browse during your visit, it offers informative tours (that’s usually $12 and includes a free beer or two during the tour), has a small snack bar with delicious options and has become the official pre drinking spot for Blue Jay fans and Maple Leafs fans before a game. Do yourself a favour and check out Steam Whistle Brewery. You don’t be disappointed.

Labatt Blue is my favorite beer so this was a cool bucket list visit for me. The buildings, the town, the brewery, the people, the tour guide.....every element had character, charm, history, and energy. Highly recommend taking the time to book this tour.

We were there for a Christmas party. I had a flight and liked all 4 beers I chose. Also had a couple of others. Their pickle pizza is awesome (if you like dill pickles). We also had their nachos which were very good as well, word of warning - they are huge - definitely for sharing! Our sever was great and knowledgeable about the beers as well. I will go again!

Located in Gravenhurst Ontario, the gateway to Muskoka, Sawdust City Brewing Company is dedicated to the art and science of creating exceptional craft beers. We produce traditional ales in an array of styles, but there is nothing traditional about the flavour. Our brewmaster, Sam Corbeil, and his talented team create award-winning exciting beers that expand the borders of traditional flavour profiles. The rule at Sawdust City is there are no rules. We are just here to make great beer. In addition to our six year-round core brands, we brew exceptional seasonal offerings, exciting limited batch brews, barrel-aged and experimental beers. Of course all of our beers are all-natural and made with only the finest ingredients. We don't take ourselves too seriously as our labels express and hey, beer should be fun! What we do take seriously is the quality of our beers, which we are sure you will enjoy.
Love this Craft Brewery. Homey feel, great beer and they always have lots of neat activities going on.

This neighbourhood favourite stop for a good brew has remained popular due to its wide range of both craft and mainstream varieties. Tip: either pick up a growler to take home or come after having a bite to eat as they specialize in beer and don’t have food.
