We loved our private day tour of Besalu and Girona with Gerard. There are 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 children, ages ranging from 5 to 14. Arranging the tour was easy, communication with BCN Hidden Tours was fast and clear. Gerard helped us decide on a tour that was just right for us. On the day of the tour, Gerard picked us up from our apartment in Barcelona in a comfortable minibus (with a driver). Gerard shared interesting historical tidbits about Barcelona, Girona and Catalonia in general during the drive. Gerard made Besalu and Girona come alive for us - he knows those towns so well! He accommodated our interests and remained flexible with the kids' needs. Gerard is incredibly knowledgeable, speaks 7 languages fluently (his English is perfect!), and clearly loves what he does. He is easy to connect with, both for adults and kids. Overall, just an incredible experience. I very enthusiastically recommend Gerard and BCN Hidden Tours.
A round trip to spectacular villages and cities where time stopped ! Barcelona is wonderful, but there is so much more to discover in Catalonia. Catalonia has a rich history, beautiful and varied landscapes and amazing local food and wine. Getting out of its capital to explore the area is an absolute must ! There are a number of gorgeous, medieval villages that are worth the drive out of the city, like Castellfollit de la Roca, Banyoles , Besalu . . . Most of these can be only reached by car, as they are planted in the middle of the beautiful volcanic Catalan countryside. Journey back in time as you discover these charming medieval villages and stunning countryside outside Barcelona on this 8 hours tour so don't doubt taking a day out to visit these beautiful medieval villages in Catalonia! I can create a customized tour for you if you have any special requests or if you are more than 6 people and need a larger vehicle !
