With hundreds of man-made lakes, state parks, casinos, museums and nightlife and dining opportunities in revitalized downtown areas in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, there is a lot to see and do in the Sooner State. The state is dotted with phenomenal lakes where swimming, boating and bass fishing are the most desired activities. Some of the state’s most popular lakes include Broken Bow Lake located near the Quachita Mountains; Grand Lake in the northeastern corner of the state at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and Lake Murray in the hills in the southern part of the state.
While the state is known for its many outdoor activities like great fishing, golf, hiking, canoeing and boating, make sure you don’t overlook its fantastic museums. Heading the list are Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, featuring the world’s largest collection of art and artifacts from the American West; the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, which tells the story of the American Cowboy; and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, which has a permanent collection of American and European art. A venerable family favorite activity is Frontier City Amusement Park in Oklahoma City, which has dozens of rides and shows.

We were up for a climbing competition: it was my 2nd time but my son has been more often with friends. It's clean; routes were good; staff is nice. All-in-all a good place to go for some fun.

Located just south of downtown and Bricktown in the heart of Oklahoma City are a set of grain silos that has housed a climbing gym since 1999. We continue to build on the foundation of those initial seeds. The routes here are LONG. Way longer than you will find at most climbing gyms. The height of the silos are 90 feet. The routes can be up to 140 feet and longer.
Now owned by Summit, this climbing gym is so much fun because of its uniqueness and long routes. You can climb for just $22 for all rentals and if you go on certain days they have 2 for one deals (just look on their website). The workers are all nice and helpful - if it's your first time they'll give you a tutorial of how to belay. They have routes for all skill levels and one silo for kid routes. All in all, a very well done climbing gym and a must do if you're in OKC and are in reasonable shape to climb.

Axe throwing finally comes to Oklahoma! Sooners can now grab a drink and throw some axes with friends at Bad Axe Throwing's newest venue. It's a great venue for birthday parties, corporate events, or group outings - pretty much anything you can celebrate, you can celebrate it by throwing axes.
This was a great get together for our management team. A little friendly competition in a safe environment. It gave some of us a chance to show off skills we didn't even know we had LOL Staff was friendly and encouraging - I would DEFINITELY recommend!!!

Lawton Axe Throwing is like darts, only more awesome! Whether you're celebrating a loved one's graduation, or just looking for a fun night out, Lawton Axe Throwing is the newest entertainment available to you in Lawton, OK!
This place was great, the staff is helpful, axe throwing was a blast, and there is -so much- more to do. Cannot recommend highly enough. I have been in this city for a little over a month for a work related school, and I just wish I had found this place earlier. Honestly might be the most fun spot in all of Lawton.
