Best snorkeling ???? crystal clear, tons of sea life, calm seas, warm water, friendly professional staff! Highly recommend doing this and a whale watch. Morning and off season is best. 03/27/2020

Stumbled upon this place while driving across Okinawa so thought I would stop and take a look. Really beautiful cave with a walkway from one end to the other. Its about a 15 min walk to the cave entrance from the carpark where you get your ticket and the whole walk takes probably about 45mins to 1 hour. I was actually the only visitor although I passed some people arriving as i walked back. Lovely rock formations, stalactites and stalagmites...

I rode my bike here from Okinawa City. I agree, the road leading up to the cave is quite narrow and rocky, I had no issues on a bike though. By looking at photos, I had no idea how big this cave really was until I saw it in person. I had a flashlight and explored the cave a bit until I started to realize I wasn't equipped with the proper gear. I am definitely going to come back with hiking boots and more appropriate clothing as it looks like you can explore pretty far into the cave. It looked like there were active archaeological sites going on, there is a sign upon entering with information on the cave and its history. If you go in and explore the cave, enjoy it but please don't touch the formations. Remember from all the cave tours we have taken, the guide always says not to touch because the chemicals from our touch can damage the formations, so be careful. Outside the cave, there is beautiful forests leading to a small beach full of cute hermit crabs, watch your step! The beach was beautiful although full of trash which I hate, but I did a little clean up and encourage everyone else to. This cave and area is well worth exploring and is so much fun!
