Long a popular destination for Japanese travelers looking for a relaxing beach break, Okinawa is gaining international popularity. Coral reefs provide great snorkeling and diving spots, but if you prefer to see beautiful fish without getting wet, Okinawa also has a fine aquarium. The ancient forests around the city offer a chance to view rare flora and fauna.

Opened in the 1950s, this was one of Okinawa's first American style malls and is a popular place to shop and meet friends. Make sure you check out the imported European accessories from Rogers.
A small shopping center near the larger Rycon shopping mall. It has some high quality shops and a few food shops. I went there to pick-up a car rental at Sky Rent a car, and the car was parked in the basement. I had lunch at one of the shop, but there are not enough varieties to choose from. For eateries, is better to go to Rycon shopping mall just a walking distance away.
[Art Gallery · Solanoe] is a gallery located in Okinawa City. We are mainly holding permanent exhibitions of [Ryukyu illustration - Masayuki Yogi], but I am holding occasional solo exhibitions / group exhibitions etc. of artists in prefecture. Please feel free to come and see the art works of Okinawa.
