If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

Little Buckeye Children's Museum is a hands-on children's museum located in Downtown Mansfield. With over 2 dozen exhibits, Little Buckeye is an ideal location for group and family visits by children ages 2-10 years. At Little Buckeye, we know that exploration and play are critical to child development. We also know that play benefits children socially, emotionally and intellectually! We understand that not every child gets the opportunity to play in a safe and creative environment. Little Buckeye Children's Museum is proud to provide that opportunity. Our museum features interactive exhibits that encourage curiosity and creativity. You can shop for groceries in the Little Stoodt's Market, perform on stage at the Little Ren Theatre, play teacher in the one-room Schoolhouse, go camping in the Nature Room and so much more!
Such a great place to let kids play and use their imagination. Several kids areas on two floors that will keep the kids occupied for hours. Visited here on President Day and it was busy but the space was large enough to accommodate the crowds. Stayed for 2 hours and would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for other plans we had. My daughter wanted to keep performing on the stage (her favorite play area of them all) It’s 9 dollars a person and some would say its expensive. I would disagree with that. For the amount of play areas you get, the price is worth it. Plus seeing your child play and use their imagination is worth it. Highly recommend this place for kids especially on a rainy or winter day.

As a leader in imaginative and creative play, The Children’s Museum of Cleveland (CMC) gives children a place and the tools to write their own script and discover their own adventures through our interactive exhibits and programs. We offer an open-ended learning environment giving children the opportunity to imagine, experiment, problem-solve and communicate – building skills for a 21st-century learner. We are a museum for all children – of all abilities, backgrounds, and ages. In our beautiful, historic new home, we respect not only childhood but also the parent and caregiver as the child’s first teacher. As a vital community resource, we provide experiences that can bridge a child’s learning between the Museum, home, and school. It's a place for families to play, connect and learn together in an environment designed to excite, enrich, and inspire.
There are many various things for young kids to do. My grandson spent most of his time on the "water room". Rain coats are provided luckily. So much to do and see. The cafeteria is very pleasant and you can pack your own lunch if you choose.
