ALTER is an immersive virtual reality art center created by internationally-renowned artists Flatsitter and David Patrick Mitchell. For the past three years, the artists have been collaborating with dozens of Oaxacan artists, actors, writers, and musicians to create a series of intense and visceral virtual reality artworks. These VR "journeys" through vivid dreamscapes are inspired by simulated realities and the ancient knowledge of the Central Valley in Oaxaca.
