CABIN BOAT EXCURSION A trip to the abandoned settlement of Kangeq is a trip back in time, for a glimse of life in the early days of Greenland. This is the area that the danish priest Hans Egede first founded a settlement in his pursuit for the last norsemen.  A short ride takes us to the abandoned settlement of Kangeq. This is a walk through history. The settlement was abandoned in the 60s by order from the capital and now stands as it was left. This is also the area where Hans Egede lived and worked some of the years he lived in Greenland.  The tour takes around 40 minutes from Nuuk, before you set foot in this abandoned place. You will then have appx 75 minutes in land with your guide, before we head back to Nuuk. This area was also the place to be for the old inuit cultures, as they use to meet from south and north and exhange gifts, do business and arrange marriages.

It's all about the guide and the captain giving experience on that fishing trip, which is a very professional and service-minded person, very good! The boat trip was amazing, and the weather was perfect (Fresh air), and the local guide has given us all the information we wanted to hear (about Greenland, houses, ocean, fishing etc.) When we catch too many fish, the captain asked us if we interested in seeing the waterfall and it was beautiful, no regrets! so thanks to that! FYI: I was worried about what we had caught too many fish but the guide told us that the most of the fish can donated to those who needs if not, you can choose to go Qooqqut nuan Restaurant to pay extra money to have it prepared by chefs and eat top-quality dinner in the Nuuk Fjord!
