I visited the “new” Royal Norwich for the first time on Friday and it was a wonderful day. The clubhouse is stunning....I love the contemporary open plan bar, restaurant and kitchen......the quality of the finish is second to none and it has a lovely feel. What really elevated it though were the staff, from walking in to reception, the pro shop and the bar and restaurant staff.....all super friendly and professional. Those of us that have played at lots of different golf courses know this is not always the case. Now on to the golf. A super course. I played the old Weston Park and whilst there are a small number of holes that remain, the transformation is amazing. Most holes are inviting from the tee......the devil though is in the detail. Well designed but tough bunkers and the greens, well, very big, lots of undulations and if you are the wrong side of the pin or putting from distance.....good luck! Excellent practice facilities as well. Finally, just want to comment on the 19th hole after the round. We sat outside in beautiful sunshine with the best burger I’ve ever had......delicious! It was obviously freshly made and do doubt with local ingredients.....well done Chef and the team! All I can say that this was one of the best golf days out I’ve had and I am really looking forward to visiting again. PS.....they have also got a small micro-brewery on site!

My partner and I stayed for a little break arranged via reservation manager Sheila Bidwell who was so professional and just amazing. A truly fantastic ambassador for your company ????♥️ We have stayed in all local hotels Dunston Hall, Sprowston Manner Hotel, Park Farm etc and We do say they were really nice. However the difference with Barnham Broom is the friendly staff. From the receptionist’s right through. We were met by Luke, happy and smiley guy, then Matthew and Veronique looked after us so attentively for dinner and breakfast. High standard of service delivered in a friendly manner. Fabulous food and great ambiance. We loved really this place. Sheila arranged a lovely room with bottle of wine and 3 course meal for a great price. We thank everyone.
