Salina Turda

Reviewed By trailingaway

We love to seek out unexpected places like this during our travels and Salina Turda actually exceeded our expectations. It was great to wander into the cool cave for relief from the hot day, admire the beautiful colorings of the walls, take a ferris wheel ride, watch others in the boats or playing mini golf, and just admire the place as a whole. While much more subdued than a traditional amusement park, we loved the quiet vibe and strange experience of going so far underground. It felt like another world. It does involve a lot of walking and some stairs, so keep that in mind. There's also no food or drink options as I recall, so plan ahead for that as well. Well worth the visit though!

Darvas- La Roche House

Darvas-La Roche House, built between 1910 and 1911, adorned with numerous Viennese elements, with essential geometrical shapes, with white stone plate ribs and ceramic corner studs with metallic enamel, giving it a distinctive appearance. Today is the most beautiful Art Nouveau Museum.

The tour is lovely, cheap, they have tablrts to tell you the story and a lovely and classy little giftshop. You must visit it!
