Pretty good winery. I particularly liked that there was ample shaded areas to sit outside. Lovely grounds. The bathrooms have a bit to be desired. We didn't do a wine tasting so I can't talk to the breadth of wines there but the one bottle that we purchased was pretty good. Twas nice to sit near the fountain and hear the water while sipping a nice red. We will return and try the family of wines and update the review at that time.

My husband and I are traveling the Northern Neck...a place neither of us has visited! (We live in Richmond, Va) We stopped at the Hague Winery because of Trip Advisor reviews! DEFINITELY worth the stop! The scenery is beautiful! I was hoping to meet Barbara from NJ after reading some of the reviews. She did not disappoint! Very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted and the farm itself! We left with 3 bottles! I asked how we could get more when we wanted it and she gave me her business card and offered to bring it with her when she visits her grandson in Mechanicsville, which is near our home! I absolutely recommend a stop here...hopefully you get to meet Barbara too! ????

General's Ridge Vineyard and Winery

We had a girls day and stopped at General’s Ridge winery. I’m so glad we did because the GRV red is now my favorite red wine from the Northern Neck! We live nearby so I stock up as often as possible. Our Maryland friends love it too, so I get to share! It’s an all around great Red. We’ve never stayed at the house but it looks like a really great getaway, especially for people looking to escape from the city life!

Vault Field Vineyards

Welcome to Vault Field Vineyards, located on historic Vault Field Farm in the heart of Virginia's Northern Neck. Our award winning wines are the result of a marriage between an exceptional terroir and the latest techniques in viticulture. At Vault Field we believe fine wines are made in the vineyard. The care of the vines is yearlong, starting with hand pruning during winter months. Next comes hand weeding and continued pruning during the growing season. Finally, in late fall, when the grapes ripen, we hand pick and sort the individual grapes to produce high quality, premium wines. ALL OF OUR WINES ARE PRODUCED AND BOTTLED ON SITE AND 95% OF WHAT WE BOTTLE IS FROM OUR OWN, VAULT FIELD, GRAPES.

Good Luck Cellars

Reviewed By TravelerTP - Northern Virginia, United States

Despite having some bad luck (between COVID and a tornado), they have really made the most out of their property. When we visited, they had their event tent set up to provide shade for a number of tables and had brought in a trailer from which they operated, while the main tasting room was under repair. None of this seemed to slow them down and the service was excellent. The man who helped us was so friendly (even though we realized later we were preventing him from closing up for the day - oops). The wine was excellent and his recommendations based on our normal wine preferences were spot on. We left with a few bottles which we have now enjoyed very much. With such a great experience when they were experiencing difficulties, I can only imagine how great they do when they are operating under more normal circumstances.

Colonial Beach Brewing

Reviewed By Campswithcat

First time to this brewery. Dont know if they have sitting inside bc the day we were there, it was beautiful weather and we took advantage of the outdoor seating. They had so many of their brews to choose from that we opted for the flights which consisted of 4 4oz beers of your choice. My fav was the sunken sailboat but we got to try 8 different ones and we liked them all. Highly recommend for an afternoon or evening hang out with each other or friends.

SLURP! At the dog and oyster is fantastic! Stuart Tyson and crew cook up delicious local seafood in a beautiful vineyard setting! His roasted oysters are phenomenal, poor boy fantastic, and crab cakes a delicacy! Save room for his frozen key lime pie on a stick! Best yet, do as we did, and be privileged and honored to have him cook for you in your home! That’s right, SLURP chef Stuart caters! For a modest chefs fee and reasonable cost per person, he will come to you with oysters, crab cakes, shrimp and grits and more! What could be better than eating great at home?
