A charming Yorkshire Dales village with three great pubs, an award winning youth hostel, a great village shop, brilliant campsites and some gorgeous walks right from the village. Once you get here, stay a while and get to know the area, it is really great!
Recently we stayed in Kettlewell for our stay cation. This is a lovely village with lots of charm, a village store that knocks out delicious ham sandwiches and 3 good pubs serving great food and beer. The whole village was very welcoming and nice and quiet during the witching hours, they managed the government guidelines on corona virus very well and with respect. See my related review for The Racehorses Hotel.

This beautiful Victorian Music Hall in the market town of Settle is set between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. A wide programme of live music, comedy, film and theatre is supplemented by community events, workshops and indoor markets. The Hall is also available for hire and can accommodate a variety of needs.
Went to see The Strawbs here, they were amazing as usual....Settle Victoria Hall is a great venue, what a wonderful old theatre.

The Academy of St Olave's is a chamber orchestra based in York. Players in the Academy come from a wide range of backgrounds including teachers, gifted amateurs, students, talented school children and professional players. The orchestra often chooses a charity to support and audiences have also donated generously to collections held at many of the concerts.

York Barbican is the largest music and arts venue in York, hosting some of the biggest touring acts in the country such as Morrissey, Russell Brand, Little Mix and the UK Snooker Championships. The venue is managed by SMG (UK) Ltd, alongside Manchester Arena, the First Direct Arena in Leeds, Newcastle Utilita Arena and many more. As well as staging world class events, York Barbican is an important addition to York's business tourism offer, hosting a range of events from large conferences to smaller meetings and private events.

Set in the heart of Middlesbrough, the Town Hall is a Grade II* listed building that plays host the some of the biggest names in comedy, music and theatre.
Visiting the area and popped in as we thought the tourist information was located there. Unfortunately, it hasn't been for several years but not to worry! We ended up having a tour of the building. The old fire station, the cells and courtroom and the event hall. We may just have to return for a gig as the accoustics and surroundings were rather impressive in the main hall. Deffo the highlight of our trip to MIddlesbrough. Massive thank you to the amazing Wayne for going out of his way to show us round and telling us all about this gem of a building.
