If you are visiting Snowdonia/Eryri: do not miss this hike! Parking in the summer can be challenging, so it’s best to get here before 11am (9:30am if you want a spot in the paid parking lot). Many cars end up parking on the side of the road, but even that space fills quickly and can be a bit dangerous with little kids/buggies/etc. There is a stand that sells coffee and ice cream just next to the paid parking lot but pretty much all seating is outside so if the weather isn’t great, you might want to keep that in mind. The hike to the lake is a mild/moderate incline but generally well-maintained path with stone steps - for those who don’t hike much it’s absolutely do-able and fun, just take your time. Once you reach the lake, it’s mostly flat with some gentle inclines/declines. It can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes to do the entire loop from the parking lot to around the lake - the time depends on how fast you want to go. For the more more advanced hikers, this is also a gateway to more challenging hikes into Devils Kitchen and then beyond access to a range of some of the Eryri’s 3000s mountains (ie the Glyderau range). If you want to do the range, definitely start early but can be done in a day.

The best way of visiting is by booking a Keeper For The Morning Experience or By Adopting An Owl. We are a closed sanctuary not open to the public.
Booked this for my husbands birthday as he loves birds and had never done anything like this before. What a great day! Pam was so friendly and welcoming and her knowledge was amazing. The birds are like family and so well cared for. Nothing was rushed and the day went at our pace, thank you so much Please book on this, it's amazing seeing these magnificent animals up close!

Amazing National Trust hikes. We came to see the waterfall on the pink trail but seemed to miss it. We ended up taking the green trail which goes uphill where you get panoramic views of the valley and other mountains in the distance. Wear hiking shoes and plan to go uphill, but nothing impossible. The waterfall we saw on the way back down. Follow the green arrows

Zip World Fforest offers an idyllic woodland setting for all your adventure needs. The heart of the site is the Fforest Coaster - based on the traditional toboggan but running on rails, it offers a year round, all-weather experience for ages 3 and up. There are two high ropes courses; Treehoppers for younger children (5-12 years) and Zip Safari 2 (9 years and up). You can bounce and explore to your heart's content on Treetop Nets; giant bouncy nets suspended in the trees, or experience the thrill of Skyride 2, Europe's highest five-seater swing. Drop 100ft alone or with a friend on the world's first tandem drop experience, Plummet 2. After all that adventure, why not relax, re-fuel and watch the action from one of our two on-site cafes. Open all year round.
Excellent experience for Halloween. As soon as you arrive the atmosphere is amazing. green haze over the forest and it was slightly misty, there was spooky noises, zombies walking around and it was very eerie. There were zombie nets to run across, good fun. included in the price were two goes each on the Forest Coaster , then for an additional price we did Europe’s highest giant swing, Skyride, and then Plummet which was great fun. Brilliant night and so much fun, Really well organised with great staff.

**Planned Disruption** JUNE 2019 major building work is now taking place at the Visitor Centre. Please email or call for more information. Overlooking the Irish Sea RSPB South Stack Cliffs is a heathland paradise waiting to be explored. Wind your way along the dramatic trails and take in the expansive views across Anglesey. There are great views of South Stack Lighthouse from Ellin's Tower. In spring and summer, marvel at the spectacular wildflower carpet covering the clifftops and seek out the rare spathulate fleawort, which grows nowhere else on earth! Carefully and quietly explore the edges of the heather and you might see lizards or even an adder. Visit Ellin's Tower for great views of the seabird city in spring and its puffins, guillemots and razorbills. Try to spot porpoise, dolphins and seals out to sea.
South Stack Cliffs RSPB Reserve is home to breathtaking views, plenty of seabirds (of course!) and South Stack Lighthouse itself. As you have to pay to go into the lighthouse we stuck to just exploring the cliffs and taking our turn at birdwatching. The highlight of our visit was definitely getting the chance to spot some puffins!

What can you make from the mud left over from the building of a tunnel under the Conwy estuary? A NATURE RESERVE!We created RSPB Conwy nature reserve to be a great place for wildlife and people. Your encounter with nature at the edge of Snowdonia will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Come 'Eye to Eye' with wildlife at RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve
We have been passed here several times but decided to call in on our way home. I thought £6 was quite steep for entrance but it was well spent on an enjoyable time. the noise of the A55 wasn't too distracting whilst admiring the views of the hills and along the conwy estuary. All the bird watchers were keen to help us identify species we weren't familiar with enthusiastic discriptions. There are lots of hides to sit in to get out of the cold wind. Would be worth becomin a member of the RSPB and visit regularly. A lovely walk.

It was fabulous to be riding at Llandegla again today. Such friendly staff, care taken to address COVID Security and wow, the trails have had a lot of work whilst the lockdown has kept us away. The trail pixies have been fixing puddles, creating new feature and just generally making the trails better and better. Back at the trail centre the menu is excellent as ever and service is sorted in a safe, efficient and friendly manner and of course the shop is stocked with great kit! Go ride, go shop, go eat and go ride again!
