We stumbled across this place as it’s not highly advertised, but what a gem of a place it is! The tour was outstanding with all things “bats” carefully explained to us with such passion. So wonderful to see the bats rehabilitating. And it’s so clean!! We were amazed. Keep up the good work

Michelle was lovely and helped us with cassowary spotting advice. We followed her map and enjoyed the 2 recommended walks. Still no cassowaries but we loved the forest anyway.

Daintree Village Hotel

There are not too many places these days that can claim to be truly, "at the end of the road". Though the peaceful little village of the Daintree is undeniably one of them. Nestled on the banks of the majestic Daintree River and bordering the oldest living rainforest, Daintree Village makes up for its lack of size with heart, wonder and a spirit of adventure... and just a short drive north of Port Douglas, the Daintree Village Hotel is the perfect place to start your northern journey... The Daintree Village Hotel is a full bar and restaurant, with a general store, bottle shop, and tour booking office.

We have been to Daintree a couple of times now, coming from Brisbane. Today’s trip was just for the day from Cairns, because we haven’t been able to stop thinking about the Daintree Village Hotels parmi since our last trip a year ago. Hands down the best parmi in Australia and we have been to many pubs and tried many parmis! Keep up the great work guys

We have a background in tourism and usually find the best place to find local information is at the Visitor Information Centre. In this case, we found a gem. Nicole was the staff member on duty and we found her to be not only a wealth of great information, but so passionate about all that the area had to offer. She is a real asset to tourism in the area, so thank you Nicole for your time, knowledge, passion and that you took as much time with us as was needed to ensure we got the most out of our visit to the area. All your tips were well appreciated.
