As part of the OLLI program of classes you have abreviated symphony events available at noon on certain Fridays. If you can't attend the symphony in the evening - this is great for a sampling. This time we saw Swing Is the Thing - with symphony and special musicians as well as dancers and singers - really entertaining! After seeing this we are ready to try the Mowtown event later this Spring. The quality of the performers and performances is outstanding and varied. It is worth checking on line to see what is coming in the future.

Arts center that stages concerts, art exhibits and many performances by the Charlotte Symphony and Opera and Repertory Theater.
Remodeled church is lovely. Good lobby, lots of parking in the area. Cozy theater, so you are always close to the stage. Highly recommended.

It was a great New Years' Eve performance by the Asheville Symphony and the Classical Mystery Tour. The Thomas Wolfe Auditorium is a very nice venue - it is due for a bit of makeover, but the seats are great and the sound good too! We very much enjoyed the entire performance!
