Bonnieheath balances an authentic agricultural experience with the sophistication and class of an estate winery. Enjoy a glass of wine or hard cider as you explore our expansive grounds, where vineyards, orchards, prairie grasses, lavender fields and a natural wetland await you.
We went on a Saturday in July so I was worried it would be super crowded. We were pleasantly surprised that there were very few people there! With COVID restrictions you could still do a wine and cider tasting. We ended up buying some of each. We had brought a picnic lunch and a blanket, and sat amongst the lavender and enjoyed it. All you could hear were the bees buzzing! No traffic sounds, very peaceful. We walked on their path around the vineyard as well. Beautiful property!

We visited today with a group of close to 20 people and they were extremely hospitable and accommodating. They set out cheeses and crackers for us to enjoy during our tasting. It is a cute winery with a lot of character and beautiful scenery! A lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine on the cozy patio overlooking the fall colors!

Journey and Destination... Divine! Burning Kiln Winery is located on the north shore of Lake Erie overlooking the beautiful UNESCO World Biosphere of Long Point, the largest freshwater sand spit in the world. The Winery features award winning using the appassimento method in repurposed tobacco kilns. The Patio is open seasonally from the May Long weekend through Thanksgiving. The Winery is open between Thanksgiving and May 1st from 12 noon to 4 pm (check with the winery first on days where the weather is inclement or call if you're travelling a longer distance as we sometimes do meetings off site during that time period). Tours are available by appointment only during this season.
Here you can actually taste 3 different wines with just $5 . Also there are some wines, souvenirs and tricks you can purchase. There is a food truck where you can get delicious food.

Located overlooking the Long Point Biosphere Reserve on the winding, scenic Lakeshore Road of Lake Erie in Norfolk County in the Ontario South Coast region. Blueberry Hill Estates is a high bush blueberry farm that operates a fruit winery on the premises along with a seasonally opened farm market and pick-your-own blueberry patch.
We've done wine-tastings before, but this was a truly unique experience. The setting was idyllic, the landscaping meticulous, the serving of wine relaxing and the blueberry scone at the end.... to die for. We had two parts to our tour - the wine tasting, and the discussion detailing the history and production of blueberries on the farm. It was a perfect balance. We sampled four different wines, served by two very friendly and informative ladies who made the tasting fun and relaxed. My favourites were definitely the ice wine, and the white FRONT, which is a blend of wines. The serving room was casual and informative with samples of items that are sold at the farm - blueberries of course, jams, salsas hard cider and more. Our group made a lot of purchases, so you know it was a positive response. Do check out the bathroom too - great baroque style. We got a close up look at the high bush blueberry plants and learned why they thrive well in that soil and location. We learned about blueberries production, care, harvest and distribution. It is definitely a labour of love that requires a lot of work - and the farm shows that. What's nice to hear is that there are always new plans in the works. The fact that the name has 'estates' in it says that all the blueberries used in their production comes from that farm. Learning about the blueberries was a new experience for us, well worth the visit.
