New York State has it all – booming metropolises, majestic waterfalls, mountains, wine country, chicken wings. Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. Movie buffs will love Rochester, home of the George Eastman House and one of the world’s most comprehensive film archives. On your way to Niagara Falls, stop in Buffalo to fuel up on spicy wings.

This famed 350-acre racetrack features thoroughbred horseracing during its six-week season from late July through early September. Though one of the sport's premier events, the races often take second place to people-watching.
The best horses, trainers and owners are at Saratoga every summer for 40 days of fantastic horse racing. I have attended many times and will return many more times. The NYRA does a great job with this meet and the history dating back to 1863 is incredible. If you haven’t been there you must add it to your bucket list.

Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack is a gaming facility and thoroughbred race track located in Farmington, NY.
We had not been here for quite some time. The staff were very friendly and courteous even opening the door for us to enter. It was snowing and the parking lot was well plowed. Nice! We were not aware that our old players cards were no good. So we had to get new players cards. It was fast and easy. Upon entering the playing areas we saw all the changes which were new to us. It was awesome. The place was very clean. The walkways were wide and easy to get around the casino. We like the selection of slots and the fact that the seats can be moved however you wish. It makes for a comfortable experience. We went to the buffet which was outstanding. We had the prime rib amongst the other items. The prime rib was exquisite. Juicy with plenty of flavor and so tender you could cut it with a fork. The best we have had in quite a while. There was plenty of selections on the buffet. We really enjoyed it. We had a great experience here and will definitely return

Supervisor came out got us me and my friend and took us both all the way to the track Secretariat statue everything , let us walk the track mostly because I think she knew I was passionate about horse racing and I had been through it in my whole life that's why I came and that was a hell of an experience I broke horses for years for Gary and Mary West the people that won the Derby this year in 2019 so this is an incredible experience for me and I want to thank the people that put all this together and keep horse racing going for this opportunity

Located in historic Saratoga Springs, New York, Saratoga Casino Hotel is the place for over 1,700 exciting slots and electronic table games. Together with live harness racing, simulcast wagering, delicious dining, live entertainment and a 117-room hotel all under one roof, we’re the premiere destination for a good time in the Capital Region!
We had a really good time and we are not gamblers, but had to throw 2 bucks in the slots came out with $17 so that was fun. Went with other peoples advice and avoided the breakfast buffet. ( go to mrs London's it is amazing ) Our room ( which was really beautiful and comfy very big ) was a standard king that overlooked the track. Was cheaper on the hotel website that the "discount sites " . We noticed they were exercising the horses in the AM so we took a walk out to the track ( you can stand on the rail ) and watched for a while . I wasn't sure what we were going to do while there ( in Saratoga ) as it was sort of a back up plan from what we really wanted to do that got washed out by bad weather, but it was just wonderful the whole place the hotel was the icing on the cake. Lots to do there. Dinner at Old Bryant in is great that we knew as it is a favorite of ours when we pass through town , and you must walk around the park and check out all the springs, be warned they taste AWFUL !!!!!! But do not take my word for it try it yourself you have to !!!!!
