Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Staff, Park rangers, boats, Park all make the experience of seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island valuable! Process of standing in que for tickets was a moderate wait time after 10:30am. The que to get through security and load on the boats for Liberty Island was a much quicker wait. We chose to sit on the top deck of the boat (sun screen recommended) gave a great view and was much cooler thanks to the breeze off the water way. Liberty Island has a dinner with ‘okay’ food. Leaving Liberty Island requires standing in a que again (minimum wait is 20 minutes). Ellis Island is an excellent historical sight for all Americans. (Spoke with curator who is attempting to save Ellis Island and return it back to a top notch place) Definitely a great adventure!!!
