Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

The market is held every Sunday from April through December and brings our region's pioneering farmers, food producers and purveyors to the Fulton Fish Market on South Street, Lower Manhattan, in New York's oldest neighborhood - a site of public markets since 1642. New Amsterdam Market mission is to revive the old Fulton Fish Market as a year round regional food market and as a hub to foster and support small food businesses, cultural exchange and public education.

This green market in the "heart" of NYC provides a wonderful opportunity to obtain fresh produce, meats & fish, baked items, sweets, wine, plants & flowers and much much more. The larger markets are held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. There is also a small market on Mondays.

We LOVED the Chelsea Market from the history of the building (old Nabisco factory), art at every turn, delicious food stalls and artisan market we could have spent hours here easily! Adjacent to the High Line, it was a perfect way to spend a day!

There are many italian food stores in around NYC that one can visit. Everything from Eataly to a small local store in your town or neighborhood. But there's really no place that has feel, variety and energy of the Arthur Avenue Retail Market. This is a place that if you visit - you will buy something because the foods are that enticing! And once you're done, you can then visit one of the many wonderful restaurants in the Little Italy of the Bronx (i.e. what we used to just refer to as Arthur Ave.) that are right outside the door.

This vendor was one of the top highlights of our trip to NYC. High quality and great variety of meats and cheeses. Service by Matthew was unparalleled. His knowledge and enthusiasm for all of the products was infectious and he made the whole experience fun. It was expensive but worth every penny!

Artists & Fleas is a marketplace of makers—tastemakers, experience creators, designers, collectors and curators. Together, this creative community of shoppers & sellers come to discover and be discovered.
If my travel budget had allowed, I would have bought a lot more items here for myself and for gifts -- clothing and accessories were well made and definitely artistic. Many wonderful booths and creators here. If you love exquisite silk scarves and fun block prints, visit the Juli Raja booth. Still wishing I had bought that shirt with the pterodactyl print.... And then there were several other places with appealing things. For something special from New York that is fairly priced, check out Artists and Fleas.

When visiting Soho, this is a must visit. It’s a fun open space of local artists & creations including jewelry (lots of beautiful designers), all-natural skin line, cheeky canvas pouches, vintage clothing and more.

I love Flea Markets, but 6th Ave and 25th St was closed, Hell's Kitchen was closed, and Brooklyn Flea are all closed for winter. This market is outdoors and indoors held at a little school. lots of neat vendors. This trip, we met Rosalind Harris (Fiddler on the Roof) and bought a lovely snake ring from her. We always meet interesting vendors and some great stories. Good deals and treasures to be found.
