Beautiful beach with many restaurants and coffee shop around. Love the nearby locality with many foreigners and locals around. Taiwan is free from COVID since 200+days and this is a perfect place where not so many people visits.

Visited this place at the recommendation of a local friend. Even the taxi driver who took us there was unfamiliar as he usually frequent seafood outlets in Keelung instead of Fuji. Walk around all the stores selling live seafood and see what interest you. Narrow down to the one with the most items that you fancy and just casually ask for the prices and react as if it is expensive :) Of course it is cheap! There were five of us. We bought fish, sea cucumber, clams, calamari, crabs and oysters. All live of course and it cost us NT2,300. The live seafood were then brought to a restaurant to be cleaned and cooked. It is an open kitchen so you can watch and make sure what you get is what you handed over to them in the first place. The cooking fee was NT1,000 for the lot and included a plate of fried vegetable and a plate of noodle which we ordered. Our taxi driver told us that he would normally have to pay at least NT5,000 for what we have ordered. He joined us for lunch and we all thought that the seafood were really fresh and well cooked. It was unfortunate that some in our group do not eat raw food. The calamari is probably best eaten raw as even par boiling makes it tougher than I would have liked. The sea cucumber was cooked really well. It was crunchy, not chewy, and tasted great. The steamed fish and crabs were really good too. Oyster was deep fried ala salt and pepper calamari style and was just great. Clams were really sweet and tasty too. At this price for live seafood, absolutely no complains and will make sure all my friends head there when they visit Taipei.
