I had just had a nasty fall when we went to the information centre to get the directions to the Little Blowhole. The staff were very concerned and sat me down and got some ice to help with the bruising to my chin. It was totally unexpected but very much appreciated. And we did find the Little Blowhole thanks the lady's directions which she gave my husband before continuing on our journey.

The Lismore Visitor Information Centre is currently closed. The award winning Lismore Visitor Information Centre is much more than a visitor centre - it's an experience! Our aim is to be a link between visitors and the rich source of environmental, cultural and economic resources in Lismore, Nimbin and surrounding villages. As Lismore is on the doorstep to Nightcap National Park, the centre features an indoor rainforest, designed to give visitors a taste of what they can experinece in the region. We have an Aboriginal Art Gallery, which provides local Northern Rivers Indigenous artists the opportunity to promote their artwork and offers visitors to Lismore an opportunity to learn about the area they are visiting through some of the local Aboriginal art. We have a large retail section specialising in unique, locally made arts, crafts and produce. There is an array of sumptuous gift baskets which you can buy pre-made or have one made-to-order.
This is a very nicely appointed site with very informative staff, there is also a wonderful gift shop. Parking is great and wonderful for families as there is a great park next door with lots of activities, even a small steam railway.

Did you know that the Back O Bourke Visitor Information & Exhibition Centre is the place of Outback Legends! Barefoot Harry, Captain Starlight, the Camel traders, WWI Prisoners of War, Charles Bean the man behind the Australian War Memorial make up part of the colourful collection of people and their stories. Your 2-day pass will take you on an intriguing journey and don’t forget the words of a once famous resident of Bourke, Henry Lawson, and 'If you know Bourke, you know Australia'. Enjoy the Exhibition Centre along with the Back O' Bourke Outback Show, featuring Paul Clarkson. It is a cracker of a show - All Australian horsemanship at its best in the Stockman’s Arena. Daily at 11 am during Visitor Season. A must do experience.
Before you do anything else visit here. The exhibit is well worth the time to go through. We spent a good 2 hours in there. The girl on reception of the information centre is very helpful and informative. The new centre is still being developed and will be completed soon. There will be a cafe on site too.

The friendly staff at the Broken Hill Visitor Information Centre will handle your bookings for local tours and provide you with all the necessary information for your step into the Great Outback. The centre has a range of facilities, including showers, toilets and disabled access for visitors. Browse through their gift shop and take home a souvenir which includes locally made items. A Gloria Jeans's Coffee can be found in the same building.
Strange the tourist visitor info centre is only open three hours a day, from. 9-12md. As I’m sure most tourists arrive later in the day when they drive to Broken Hill. Having said that, the staff were really helpful and informative about the local area and the regional attractions including the Flinders Ranges and Quorn.
