Things to do in New Orleans, Louisiana (LA): The Best Food & Drink

January 4, 2022 Marianna Hollaway

Laissez les bons temps rouler! In New Orleans the good times are perpetually rolling down Bourbon Street, which, thanks to the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration, has quite a party animal reputation. Once you’ve soaked up the scenery of the historic French Quarter, tour the elegant Garden District and meet the colorful characters of Frenchmen Street. Experience the city's supernatural vibe at the Voodoo Museum or by taking a guided ghost or vampire tour through taverns, alleyways, and cemeteries.

I found this hidden gem walking around the streets of New Orleans. The owner gave me a tour of the distillery and it looks so clean inside I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends. The bartender made me a couple drinks which were wonderful and it was very affordably priced.

We visited NOLA in October and came across this little gem one early afternoon. We had the place nearly to ourselves, but when other people did arrive, everyone was so friendly to us. Loved the fact that it was dog-friendly and the boys loved the chance to play Mario Kart! Our bartender took the time to chat with us even though he was busy getting things ready for the night. We loved the variety of beers, atmosphere, cleanliness, and service. Really, one of our most enjoyable experience during our 5-day visit. If you like beer, you should go :)

Decided to stop by to have a drink during happy hour on the front porch of this lovely hotel and stayed for dinner. Food and service was excellent. After dinner live music was going on in the front parlor room and the musicians was very good. Sang and told history and background of the songs and music. We had such a nice evening and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
