Things to do in New Mexico, United States: The Best Health/Fitness Clubs & Gyms

July 26, 2021 Almeta Stockton

With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Tait is the BEST athletic trainer EVER! My daughter injured her knee in February and due to COVID we could not get her the help she needed sooner.... Tait assessed the situation, worked on her and totally fixed her! She was lunging by the end of the session. I bought her a star wrap and he sent her home with Strengthening exercises to do at home. My daughter’ exact words when we left: “ I went in there feeling like an elderly woman and came out feeling brand new like a teenager again” We are so thankful for Tait and we will be back in a month!

We wanted a place to swim, and found so much more. Regarding water -- first of all, the pools are body temperature! They have lap pools. They have a great kids area including a shallow wading area with a slide, and a big kids slide (we're in our 50's and had a blast). There's a lazy river. There's a fun whirlpool. Then there's a nice-sized hot tub. And lastly, there's a therapy pool - a little warmer with disability access and great jets. Besides the water -- they have a track for running/walking. They have a BBall court and a tennis court. They have weight rooms and fitness equipment. There are yoga classes. And last but not least, there is an ice skating rink! This place is amazing. Best of all -- it's priced VERY reasonably. A $7 day pass (for adults) will get you access to everything. Kids and seniors are less, and if you buy a bundle it's even better.
