With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Nice surprise, on side road off the main road. Elected to sit in the desert garden in back, nice and relaxing in a swinging bench. Knowledgeable staff that is helpful with advice of how each beer tastes so you can make an informed selection. Dog friendly. Impressive beer selection. Enjoyed the Alien Amber Ale.... perfect for the dry climate. Later tried the Desert Pilsner which was very enjoyable also.

Bombs Away Brewery - built by a decorated USAF veteran (EOD hero) and his wife. Totally great atmosphere and some really good beer. John & Hillary (owners) are dedicated to making great quality beer amongst all the other great quality beer makers in ABQ. Their "Willie Pete Witt" is one of the best European Witt beers I have had that was not in Europe!! They do have some limited eats, but mainly it's just a great watering hole. Of note, they have a board for "Buy a Veteran a Beer" where folks can pre-buy military vets a free beer I will go back many, many times!!

A trip to Casa Rondeña Winery will send you into the thicket of the Rio Grande Bosque. Among the cottonwoods sits a bit of Spain. The breathtaking beauty of the architecture paired with the complexity and finesse of the wines will leave you wondering if you've been transported out of Albuquerque. Casa Rondeña has been chosen "Best Winery" 7 years in a row by Albuquerque the Magazine readers! Come experience the magic yourself!
Casa Rondeña is the perfect spot for a peaceful afternoon flight of wine. Not only is their wine delicious (the Cab is out of this world) but their staff is incredible! Robert in the tasting room is so welcoming and friendly, making you feel like you're sitting in your own backyard relaxing with your best friend.

While travelling in California wine country, we are asked where we're from, and in response to New Mexico, a good number of CA wine people have remarked that Gruet is great. We agree. We drop in to the Albuquerque and Santa Fe tasting rooms whenever we are nearby, and are members of the Gruet wine club. Fine bubblies !!!

We hung out here for wine and had the best sweet/spicy green chili sauce over cream cheese. The local New Mexico wines were really very good. We purchased several bottles to take with us.

There are some good wines in New Mexico, and D.H. Lescombes has some of the best. The staff we dealt with were very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing for a tasting, After the tasting, we picked a bottle we both liked and ordered the Nosh tray. All in all, an enjoyable afternoon.
