Whether you are looking for sun-drenched beaches or outdoor activities in beautiful countryside, New Jersey has plenty to offer. Those who love the great outdoors should head for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which runs along the Delaware River for forty miles. Here you can go rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking or fishing, or simply admire the stunning waterfalls. There is a huge range of hiking trails to choose from as well as historic sites to visit. In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing near Blue Mountain Lakes, and birdwatchers might be lucky enough to catch sight of bald eagles. If you are looking for a change, visit one of New Jersey's eleven lighthouses that are open to public, such as the one in Cape May. For art and history enthusiasts, New Jersey State Museum in Trenton has historic artifacts and American fine art from the nineteenth century to the present day as well as a Planetarium.

One more nice temple in New Jersey state. Though the main deity is Guruvayarooppan ( Lord Krishna), there are sannadhis for Lords Vishnu, Mahalakshmi , Satyanarayana, Siva, Parvathi, Ganesha, Subramanyan ( Murugan), Navagriha and other incarnations of Siva, Parvathi, Vishnu and Mahalakshmi . We visited temple on Thai poosam day. Lord Muruga went round the temple on Peacock Vahana. Satyanarayana Pooja was also being conducted. Canteen facility with South Indian food is available till 8.45 PM. Nice temple in the neighbourhood to pray in peaceful surroundings.

I walked by The Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove New Jersey several times in August 2020. I walked on the boardwalk and then on Ocean Pathway. Ocean Pathway is full of interesting houses. This leads to The Great Auditorium which is a unique building on the Jersey Shore. On Sundays the doors are open so you can look inside. To the side of The Great Auditorium is a gazebo and some other interesting things. It is just very nice to walk around here.

This amazing and surprising place appears to be in the middle of nowhere, outdoors and most often - unless you are one of the locals - discovered by serendipity when one stumbles upon it. It is a stunning outdoor shrine surrounded by farmland, modern in its design, with places to sit and pray. It was created in late 1990s by an Italian family of farmers and fully built in 2002. It is a place of local pilgrimage for many Roman Catholics . You will notice statues of Padre Pio, the Blessed Mother, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The shrine has a relic of Saint Padre Pio . Small gift shop featuring religious artifacts and souvenirs serves as an "indoor base" of the 10 acre shrine complex. There are at times outdoor masses and Rosary prayer sessions here.

West Side is a vibrant, family-oriented Christian church located in Ridgewood, N.J. that serves a wide range of towns across Northern Bergen County. We'd love for you to join us on Sunday morning for Chapel (8:15), Contemporary (9:00) or Traditional (10:15) worship.

This was my first visit to a Mandir, so I wasn’t sure what to expect or if I would feel I was out of place. My young daughters and I were warmly welcomed by staff yet in no way pressured to donate funds or act in any specific way. We entered the building, veered to the female room and stored our shoes for free in the cubbies. There are free shawls and wrap around skirts for those entering with too much skin exposed. My daughter wore both and was approached by a staff member informing us my daughter didn’t need the shawl or skirt. My daughter looked up at me and I realized she *wanted* to wear them as part of the cultural experience and so she did. I recommend veering to the right and watching the ten minute video that runs on a loop before entering the actual mandir. This allows for context and points out several features you would likely otherwise miss. After touring the mandir, stop by the food shop for delicious prepared vegetarian food and prepacked snacks and treats plus assorted other beauty products and other items. On our way out we stopped by the counter to make a financial donation and were gifted a small box of sweets. We are glad we went and recommend people of all religions and ages visit to gain insight into another culture. We will definitely return to watch the other structures that are currently under construction and also to pick up more delicious snacks! We spent about 40 minutes there and note no photos allowed inside the mandir.
