Great experience with the horseback riding! Guide and staff were great, and horses were easy to work with; I had no problems as a first time rider. You ride up along the ski mountain runs and the area and views are beautiful. Prices are also very fair. Would recommend this to anyone.

We took our daughter today for her 10th Birthday. Very friendly staff & beautiful, well cared for horses greeted us. After mounting up and heading out, it was wonderful to find our guide was very interactive, even singing a solo of Happy Birthday to our birthday girl and belting out a Johnny Cash song on request. He was silly and engaging which made our ride a pleasure. It was a great experience and we will return again as soon as possible. Worth the 1.5 hour drive!

My husband and I had a wonderful sleigh ride! Adam is a great host taking photos for us and sharing info about Timber, our horse. The view from Franconia is stunning! Highly recommend this as an experience you will enjoy!

The lady at the Waterville Valley welcome center gave us the tip for Rocky Ridge Ranch. We made a reservation for 12 noon. The cost would be $18.00 per person when riding in a group or $75.00 for private ride and they only except cash. When we arrived, we decided for the group ride. While we waited for noon, they offered us hot chocolate and water. Also they had a nice fire going with benches to sit on and a 14 yr old dog named Bunny who was very friendly. By the time noon rolled around, no one else showed up so we ended up with private ride for $36.00 rather than $75. Rick, the owner, was our driver and was very cordial to us making the trip even nicer. Beautiful scenery was everywhere and plenty of snow over the 20-25 minute ride with 2 wonderful friendly horses. When we were done, a girl assistant took pictures with us next to the horses and we could pet them as well. She also took a picture when we started the ride as well. All in all a great time and highly recommend for a fun time.
Enjoy a scenic tour along the Saco River. Our horses take along wooded paths at a gentle walking pace. No experience necessary. Pony rides available for those too young to ride on the hour tour. * restrictions apply *
