If you are looking for a fun activity at the Lake, this is it! It was easy for beginners and just the right amount of time spent out on the water. It started early in the morning so it wasn’t too hot and the park entrance wasn’t crowded. We had a great time!

The Route 66 Museum is truly unique in that it is a museum of history, housed in a historical building that lighted the way for the earliest Route 66 travelers. The building, built between 1907 & 1911, powered early Kingman and area mines starting in July, 1909. It also supplied power for the construction of Hoover Dam, until the Dam began producing cheaper hydroelectric power in the late 1930’s. The Route 66 Electric Vehicle Museum, the first of it’s kind anywhere. This Museum includes twenty-nine (and counting) vehicles on loan from the Historic Electric Vehicle Foundation, with members world-wide. The tour begins with an elevator ride down 21 stories (210 feet) to the Chapel of the Ages cavern, the scene of numerous weddings throughout the years and large enough to hold two football fields. Your guide will tell you about the history of these awesome Caverns. Our adventure finishes at our local winery where grapes thrive in our area due to the high aquifer.

To be honest, when I booked this photo tour, I had no clue wth to expect. I kinda expected a stuffy group tour like u would see walking quietly through a museum, but thankfully, this was anything but that! My husband and I met up with Craig on a Wed evening and from the start, he was extremely friendly and easy to talk to, which made it nice. As we started walking Craig asked questions and told us stories about different places in downtown which was great! The best part though, he seemed to listen to what we liked and tweaked the tour to make it personalized for us! We had a great time and absolutely LOVE the pics he took!! And even though we have now done the tour already, I think this will become a "must do" on every trip from now on, if for no other reason than to capture the photos and memories each trip! Thank you Craig for making our evening extremely enjoyable!! We look forward to seeing you on our next trip!!
