I just completed the Mount kilimanjaro climb organized by Himalayan Glacier. I was supported by a fantastic guide Fromance. He ensured my safety and took me on several additional walks at the various huts where we stayed. We had fun and very interesting adventures. The rest of the team included a fantastic chef, Yona, who created spectacular dishes including a celebratory cake for us after finishing the climb. I would highly recommend anyone considering this climb to go with Himalayan Glacier

Langtang valley trekking is a small and beautiful valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. It is between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kangri (5864m) lie to the south; and Dorge Lakpa (69866m) protects the east end of the valley. The area was designated Nepal's first Himalayan national park in 1971. This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins in the Middle Hills. Langtang valley trekking offers an opportunity to explore villages, climb small peaks and visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. According to legend a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley. Hence the name- lang is Tibetan for 'yak' and teng (more correctly dhang) means 'to follow'.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this trek on which we were expertly guided by Shiva Prasad. As mature age trekkers we found Shiva to be highly organised, exceptionally aware of our safety and comfort and a source of interesting information on all the sites and mountain peaks we saw. He was great company and we would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a safe and enjoyable trek.

With Dawa & friends’ help, I was able to visit Upper Mustang during a time when almost no permits were being issued. Dawa organized permit sharing, and even booked a bus ticket for me on the day of departure and drove me to the bus station himself. I would certainly not have made the trip without him and I deeply appreciate everything.

Chitlang is about 22 km from Kathmandu in the South West direction. Before Opening of TRIBHUWAN RAJPATH (High way to link India and Kathmandu), CHITLANG was only one “On foot Highway” to get the Southern part of Nepal. Normally, motors carry people; it is only the place in the world, where motors used to carry by people because there was not road Kathmandu valley and BHIMPHEDI (a place near Terai Region of Nepal). There are lots of evidences, which show that there was civilized society in ancient centuries. Many temples with amazing wood and stone carving, artistic rest houses, stone taps, available inscription of centuries long are the proof of those civilized society.
