What delightful gardens - particularly liked the Chinese Garden and its history. The Art gallery was also interesting, whilst the on-site coffee shop (Suter Cafe) serve AMAZING coffee supported by awesome customer service, and all in an ideal tranquil setting.

Visited Dunbar's with friends and had a platter and a bottle of the Tasman Pinot Gris. The service was very good - attentive without being intrusive. The platter was okay - enough for a nibble but not overly inspiring for the price. They did supply extra bread though which was very kind. The wine is really good and we ended up buying a couple of bottles to take with us. Would recommend this cafe/winery - lovely setting and on a nice day it would be very easy to spend a few hours just chilling here. Staff are really great and nothing was a problem at all.

A lovely calming place to wander around. Ponds, bridges, rocks, stepping stones, shelters, trees, flowers - all combined in a way that makes you want to explore and see everything. There are little paths through bamboo, streams to cross and lots of places to sit and contemplate. Great place for a picnic or a pick-me-up.
Come explore the Sustainable Living Centre very close to Takaka township and take our self-guided tour or just sit to take in the serene environment and admire the variety of food grown in the gardens. This is suitable for all ages and offers interesting information and an enriching experience for everyone. Wormfarms, bee hives and herb spirals - we've got it all!
