It has some of the world's best opera and theater houses and is often called an open-air museum, due to its many historic statues and monuments. Join families on promenade as the sun sets on the Bay of Naples. View finds from Pompeii and Herculaneum, destroyed by Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale or revel in the art and architecture of Museo Cappella Sansevero, built in the late 1500s.

FiumicinoExpress is the new transfer service between Fiumicino Airport and Napoli and from Fiumicino airport to Florence. It was launched to meet the demands of savvy travelers who are looking for a low cost, no-fuss connection between Italy's largest airport and two of Italy's most popular destinations: Naples and Florence. They are a quick and convenient alternative to train travel, providing a stress-free way to travel!
We took Fiumicino Express from the airport to Naples and back on our recent trip in January. Both times the bus came 10 to 15 minutes early and left exactly on time. The ride was comfortable, so the experience is most positive. If you have questions prior your trip, you can contact the company by WhatsApp and they will try to help. Excellent customer service. My concern was will they honor tickets on the next bus, should our plane be late. They said they would. We never tested it, as everything went fine and I am not sure if they can do it in the top tourism season. But they very helpful through WhatsApp, so Excellent Customer Service! When you buy tickets online and book the return trip as well, there is a discount, so it becomes even more economical. However, if you book only a day prior to the trip, the price goes up a bit. So book a little earlier. I do have a warning, and it has nothing to do with the company itself. If you are taking the bus overnight from Naples (ours was at 3:45 am) to catch an early flight from Rome, don't come too early. The place where buses arrive in Naples is open and quiet desolate at night, if there are no other passengers around. The actual terminal looked closed, we didn't know it. So, it wasn't the most safe or pleasant experience. But everything was ok and the bus arrived 15 min early. So do come a little early, but not too early. And know that buses leave on a dot, so don't be late. If we are coming back to Naples, we will most definitely take Fiumicino Express again!

After extensively researching the best way to get from Naples airport to Sorrento, I can confirm, having just come back from Sorrento, that using Curreri Viaggi is the best way. It only costs €10 and the bus is very comfortable and more importantly, it is air conditioned. It takes less than one and a half hours and you can sit back and enjoy the view. When you come out of the airport, walk straight ahead for about 250 metres and you will see the bus station on the right (it is kind of tucked away). You can book online. We didn't on the way there in case we were delayed but we did book online on the way back, all very easy to do. DO NOT get the train which is not air conditioned and is cramped and do not pay the expensive taxi rates (not to mention the mad driving). I highly recommend Curreri Viaggi!
