Vines, wines and the people who love them are central to the economy of Napa Valley. Other treats for taste buds are in store, too, in the form of local olive oils, tomatoes, cheeses and mustard. The other senses are catered for with a vibrant visual arts scene. Rent a car or book a taxi or limousine to get between sights safely. The Napa Valley Wine Train offers an unusual way to experience the views and vintages. A relaxing array of spas and mud baths and the Old Faithful geyser are attractions in Calistoga.

3 girlfriends, booked trip for October about a month ago, our credit cards billed immediately. So here we are, night before the trip, no communication from the business. We finally tracked her down to be told tours cancelled for the month. Now, it's fine to cancel, especially given fire problems in the valley, but communication is key, and we feel the ball was dropped here. Now we have nothing to do on a vacation day and are scrambling to use our time effectively. And yes, the owner was offering to try to put something together for us, last minute, and did not feel good, it frankly felt rushed and second rate. Maybe there is a backstory here, especially with fire danger, but we dont know and expected better communication even under changeable conditions.

We had never been to Napa before but a friend recommended we get a driver and we felt very fortunate to have booked with Alex!!! He was super accommodating considering we got started later than originally scheduled but Alex made it a special day. He got us into numerous wineries and knew everyone and all the right places. He even booked our dinner reservations and we walked in and got a table immediately. We didn’t know what to expect but we had the best time and we hope to visit again and will definitely want Alex as our local driver!!

I can’t say enough about Dandy. She made choosing wineries to visit easily based on our likes/interests and knew her way around Napa & Sonoma very well. Dandy was our tour guide, listener, photographer and great person to hang out with throughout our tour. Dandy’s dining recommendations for after the tour and places to visit throughout our stay were excellent! She took amazing photos and captured beautiful moments. She’s attentive, creative & professional, I’d book her again in a heart beat!

Since we live only about 2 hours from San Fran we decided to do a weekend getaway. We booked a private tour as it would be more flexible and we wouldnt be around other people due to COVID restrictions. We are so happy we booked this tour. The entire tour was so much fun! We felt safe and it was super professional. Loved all the spots (especially the Golden Gate Bridge). My husband and I got a ton of great photos and our guide new some secret spots as well which made it really unique. Overall we could not be happier. This was our second tour with ForeverVacation and it was as awesome as the first tour. Thanks again for everything. Next stop... Bali :)

Rather than combining a wine tasting and bike tour, we just rented bikes and did a great 17 mile loop around Napa - it was nice and flat (which was good since it was HOT) and the Specialized bikes were perfect for the job. Tim and Caitlin (I hope I got their names right) were SUPER helpful, did a great job setting up the bikes and gave us easy to read maps. They went above and beyond in making sure the bikes were set up properly and that we had water and guidance. Thank you both for a fantastic experience!

Today Francesco was the driver and tour guide for a wonderful day of wine tasting in Napa. Francesco is the most pleasant and knowledgeable driver you will ever know. We started our day at 8 am when Francesco picked us up at our downtown SFO hotel. We are a group of 5 seniors in town to celebrate a family wedding. When we got into Francesco’s Expedition we told the driver that we had wanted to do wine tasting in Sonoma/Napa but we were afraid to get to close to the ongoing fires. Francesco assured us that he could lead us to terrific wineries without coming close to smoke or fire. Off We Went. Francesco found us just the right spot for breakfast. Next we went to a winery that specialized in sparkling wines. We tasted wines in a gorgeous garden setting. After our sparkling tasting we boarded the SUV and stopped at a smaller family winery and tasted some outstanding whites and reds. By this time the group was ready for lunch. Again, Francesco listened to our request for great burgers and in 5 minutes time we were enjoying our delicious lunch. By 3:30 we were ready to head back into town. Rush hour traffic was beginning to happen. Francesco stayed upbeat and pleasant and spent the next hour telling us fun and entertaining facts about vineyards and wines and landmarks. In all, we spent 9 hours together. Everyone enjoyed every minute!
Come up-valley with us, past vineyards and blue skies edged by tall mountain ranges on either side to the old-fashioned town of St Helena. Home of the Culinary Institute of America and a handful of notable restaurants, we've selected this tiny town for our newest food tour showcasing talent and creativity framed by wine. We start at 10:25 with an organic assortment of pairings to compliment beautiful varietals while listening to an inspiring story. Next we get a small but mighty taste of Goose & Gander’s famous mushroom soup paired with a Napa Cab. Learn why the converted home is called "The Martini House." Next we visit Olivier, fashioned after the dreamy boutiques in France, where you sample beautiful olive oils, balsamic, caramels and custards. You even get a delicious gift to bring home. We enjoy our last savory pairing at Archetype restaurant where we sample tasty "spa food." We finale at Woodhouse Chocolate on a sweet note.
Inclusions: Our experience includes two top restaurants, has a shopping component with a free gift and ends on a sweet note with chocolate. In just three hours, taste your way thru St Helena in Napa Valley!
Exclusions: Guide gratuity
