Gold and silver may have been behind the hordes that flocked in the 1800s, but liquid gold - Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignons and Pinot Noirs - is behind the modern migration. This dream destination for wine lovers has an abundance of fine restaurants and inns. Horse posts have been replaced by bike racks, and pedal power is a great way to explore.

Quent Cordair Fine Art was established by artist Quent Cordair in 1996. As a premier provider of contemporary Romantic Realism in painting, sculpture and drawing, QCFA has grown to serve an international clientele of private and corporate collectors. Located in beautiful downtown Napa, Ca., the gallery features a large collection of uplifting and inspirational art. Subject matter includes figurative, narrative, allegorical, still lifes, seascapes and landscapes. Award-winning painters and sculptors of international renown are represented, as well as emerging artists of unique vision and accomplishment.
My visit to Quent Cordair Fine Art Gallery was the highlight of my visit to Napa. Linda Cordair was a gracious and knowledgeable host; she welcomed us warmly, gave us a brief orientation, and invited us to enjoy the art at our own pace, letting us know she was nearby to answer any questions. I was there with a mixed group: my best friend, my two age-20-ish children, and my 94-year-old mom, and each of us found different pieces to fall in love with. The gallery features stunning works of art, so many and so beautiful that I want to return to experience it all again. Highly recommend this oasis of calm refreshment for the soul.

The "Hay Barn" houses Gordon Huether's design studio, project gallery, fabrication facilities, administrative offices and gallery. Guests are welcome to visit Gordon Huether Studio + Gallery. The Gallery is located at 1821 Monticello Road in Napa, CA and is open Monday through Friday, from 9 AM - 4 PM. Gordon Huether's enormously successful career, spanning several decades, has involved large-scale art installations, many executed in the medium of glass. In recent years he has begun exploring different media and a more challenging direction in his smaller-scale fine artwork. Using the seductive properties of richly saturated color, a wide array of natural and artificial light sources, luscious and diverse texture, found materials and quirky, sometimes unsettling imagery, his work offers viewers a complex intellectual experience.

A destination art gallery set amongst the rolling hills in the Carneros region of beautiful Napa Valley. Fine art painting and print work by professional artists. This gallery is the only stop one needs for purchasing a special piece from a Wine County visit.
The Wright Corner Gallery is a must stop while exploring the Carneros region of Napa Valley. It’s beautiful, historical and charming inside...Kerry is a delight and has lots to share about the area as well as her artwork - which is stellar. Highly recommend a stop here at the corner of Old Sonoma Road and Old Sonoma Highway. A hop skip and jump from Domaine Carneros Sparkling wine house, Madonna Estate, Artesa Winery and The Carneros Inn. Don’t miss this!

Located on 217 acres in the Carneros region of Napa Valley, di Rosa houses the foremost collection of contemporary Bay Area art, with nearly 2,000 works by 800 artists. A wide range of styles, media, and subject matter provide an overview of the creative energy and freedom to experiment that characterize this region of California. The Gatehouse Gallery welcomes drop-in visitors to view di Rosa’s current exhibition but in order to view the full extent of the collection (including the Main Gallery, Residence, and Sculpture Meadow) a tour is required. These informal, guided tours include time for independent viewing of the artwork. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Advance reservations for tours are highly recommended.

Donald Hess established his first Mount Veeder vineyard in 1978, from the beginning recognizing that on these ridges and benchlands, the potential for great winegrowing was clear. Deep, rocky, volcanic soils provide a home for vineyard blocks producing small, concentrated fruit that reflects the challenges of growing grapes at higher altitudes in the coolest mountain growing region in Napa. The Hess Collection winery is part of a historic site where wine was first produced in the 1860’s, in a native stone build hewn by masons in 1903. The original stone structure is now joined by The Hess Art Collection, a world-class showcase of contemporary art that captures “two passions under one roof.” The Hess Collection uses sustainable, environmentally-sound practices with the axiom, “Nurture the land, and return what you take.” That philosophy brings with it a dedication to delivering wines that speak to their natural origins. Wine tasting & tours daily. Culinary experiences include pairings with small plates, artisan cheese and chocolates.
We completely enjoyed visiting the Napa art collection of David Hess (he has others in Argentina and South Africa, and is planning a fourth for Australia). Works by Francis Bacon, Stella, Gertsch (emulating Vermeer projecting and painting), Magdalena Abakanowicz, Morris Lewis, and many more. I especially enjoyed "Surface Tension" by Andy Goldsworthy. Worth a couple of hours!!

Jessel Gallery is the oldest and largest gallery in the Napa Valley. 30 years in a 100 year old building. Fine Art, Creative Clothing and Artisan Jewelry are just a few offerings. Beautiful Gardens filled with whimsical sculptures and a great deck are available for picnics and private parties. Jessel, a renowned artist teaches classes to beginners and beyond.
This gallery is Amazing. I discovered the Jessel Gallery a year ago and I go back as often as I can. It is absolutely amazing! This is absolutely worth visiting during your stay in Napa. Nestled off the beaten path among some newer tasting rooms, this gallery is a combination of authentic Napa Valley and a best kept secret. Owned and operated by a Napa local, Jessel Miller, your gallery was truly the WOW moment of my visit.
