We booked a day tour combo at last minute and couldn't be happier! The booking was seamless and the owner (JP) made everything possible to accommodate us. The trip was an absolute treat and both our guides (Kevin & Jacques) were incredibly friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. There were plenty of food and drinks. Kayaking surrounded by marine wildlife and driving into the dunes were nothing short but mesmerizing ???? Thank you again!

Explore Swakopmund with your private tour guide. Swakopmund is a German settlement on the coast of Namibia from the 1892's to just before the first world war. Situated 30km north of Walvis Bay in the mouth of the Swakop river, this town has really beautiful surroundings. Light-heartedly referred to as "Little Germany" by many travelers, the building style in the old part of town is distinctly German. Gaze at the majestic dune belt along the way to Swakopmund, with a short visit to Dune 7 where you can touch and see the sand up close. Once in Swakopmund, as you have a wide variety of things to do. You can choose between the Railway Station, the Steam Tractor "Martin Luther", the Swakopmund museum at the lighthouse, or the Krystall Gellerie, home of the largest quartz crystal. Please remember that if you want to buy any curios in Swakopmund that you will need a copy of your passport Last on your agenda is the coastal highway It's quite a memorable place, so bring your camera!

This four hour tour has both a morning (09.00) and afternoon (13.00) departure. After picking you up at your Swakopmund accommodation, the tour leaves up the coastal road in a northerly direction. Cape Cross is 130 km from Swakopmund and along the route you will stop to marvel at the extensive lichen fields stretching away to the horizon, east of the coastal road. Another point of interest before you reach the holiday town of Henitiesbay is the “Free Republic of Wlotzka’s Baken”, some 40 km north of Swakopmund. This self-sustaining settlement of wooden cabins and bungalows on the beach is the haven of many a beach angler. Once past the town of Henitiesbay, the road leads past expansive salt pans where rock salt is mined and refined. Your guide will introduce you to the intricacies of salt crystals and saline algae, which are found in abundance.
Inclusions: Refreshments, Snacks, Bottled water, Alcoholic Beverages

We were tired from extensive touring (three travelers) and thought of skipping this township visit. Are we glad we decided to join Nande Junia's 1/2 day explorer tour! Our guide was kind, informative, and had planned an interesting visit to one of Namibia's townships. "Township" being the local explanation in Africa for a town/village of minimally economic development. For the poorest citizens, basically with outdoor plumbing, very small living area, and few services. Here in Namibia, in this community, we discovered that Swakopmund was well maintained and harbored many interesting sights. Entrepreneurship all around, from the ladies who taught "clicking" to tourists to the a capella choir, singing for us during our homemade lunch in another house, we spent 4 hours being captivated by this slice of Africa. I recommend heartily this tour group. First-class all the way.

The views on this 5 hour private adventure is amazing, both in quality and variety. Out of this world landscapes and wild animals! Most of the 60km to Sandwich harbor is along the coast between our fascinating plants that have adapted to living in unique conditions. You might see some cape fur seal, black backed jackal and black backed Cape Cormorant. Access to Sandwich harbor is tidal, which means we cannot enter the harbor at high tide. Sandwich harbor itself has two natural tidal lagoons. Your guide will take you for a walk at the side of the lagoon, if you want to. We can take you to the top of the dunes at Sandwich for a better view of the area, or you can climb the dune yourself, if you prefer. Please note, this tour goes into nature, far from civilization. As such, there are no toilets. We will provide a privacy tent, seat, toilet paper and a hole in the ground if needed. Free pickup in Walvis Bay. In short, you will see many beautiful things, so bring your camera!
Inclusions: Entry or admission fee, Permit for Sandwich Harbour from Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Snacks, Bottled water, Alcoholic Beverages, Soda/Pop

This loop through the desert shows off some stunningly beautiful desert landscapes between the Swakop River and the dreaded C14 national road. Very arid and isolated, it is worth seeing. From the dune belt at the coast the landscape changes rapidly to wide open spaces and gravel plains the views are spectacular. On these gravel plains the plant life has adapted quite uniquely to the desolate surroundings. You will see the Swakop River Canyon, also known as the Moon Landscape, on the way to the Welwitschia plains and Blutkoppen. Blutkoppe is well worth visiting for it's wind carved caves and sensual shapes. Ganab has a watering hole. The desert changes a lot with rainfall and the wildlife moves around, so no two tours are the same, some may be bone dry, and others have lush greenery and wildlife everywhere. Vogelvederberg boasts some impressive wind carved rock formations, and is a good lookout over the desert. All this nature is exquisitely beautiful.... bring your camera!

This is a true private adventure! You will have fun exploring the many features of the desert all the way up to the very remote Welwitschia Miriabilis plants. Stop for photographs at the lookout over the Moon Landscape and take in the many earthy colors and texture of this magical place. Take a break at the Goanikontes oasis, with excellent atmosphere, and wifi connectivity. With a bit of luck you might see some wild animals along the riverbed with ostrich being the most common. At the designated parking areas there is quite a bit of information on the Welwitschia, where you can stretch your legs a bit and walk among the Welwitschia in their natural environment. Following a quick drive through Swakopmund to view the historic buildings and jetty the next item on the adventure is the coastal road between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. The Dune belt on the left hand, and the ocean on the right make for some spectacular views. Bring your camera.

Awesome doesn't do it justice. I had a fabulous, exhilirating experience. The dunes and the sea are spectacularly beautiful and Uwe is a real treat. I was incredibly lucky that I went during the pandemic when there was almost no one else around, but I can imagine even in normal times the tour would be the best. The views were incredible, and driving up and down the dunes was better than any rollercoaster. Plus Uwe's explanations and stories were icing on the cake. Just Do It!!
