Just the effort that goes into keeping alive the look and feel of hundreds of year old lifestyle is amazing. Definitely worth spending time enjoying art and architecture of past

Impressive as the twin JR Towers atop Nagoya JR Station are, when you exit the Towers at the 2nd Floor level on the Sakuradori Subway Line side to view the modern Nagoya City Centre, there is an even more impressive structure just further along the street. The Mode Gakuen Spiral Towers is a unique building which houses the 'Mode Gakuen College of Fashion & Design'. Always inquisitive, I looked up their Japanese website and discovered that Mode Gakuen, "... is Japan's largest specialised Training College having schools in front of each terminal station in Tokyo Shinjuku, Osaka and Nagoya." Believe me when I say that, from their website the buildings in Tokyo and Osaka are similarly architecturally unique as this in Nagoya. Although not open to the general public, the building can be viewed for free from a distance. My only regret is that time precluded a closer look or viewing the building at night.
