I so thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated my 3-hour Barn Quilt Workshop. The artist-instructor (Janette) was patient, knowledgeable and talented - a superb combination to guide me through the process of creating art for the first time in decades... it won't be my last. Let The Cat Go provides wonderful opportunities to grow and learn and CREATE! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in Huntsville looking at the stores and purchasing items at the various stores and did a walk about looking at the sculpture and outdoor wall murals and reading the signage about the paintings. We didn't see all of them, but did enjoy what we did see. The day was sunny and relatively warm. A glorious day - we would like to visit it again when it's a little warmer...maybe in July.

Every year I visit the Red Canoe Gallery with the anticipation of seeing some great works of art by local Canadian artists. And I am never disappointed. This year I had an amazing experience with the owner, Carola (also one of the talented artists on display in the gallery) when I happened to mention that a paper mache cowboy bunny (2 ft. tall) that I had bought there probably 15 years ago or so had been damaged by my kids. Although the artist who made the bunny had since retired, Carola offered to take a look at him to see if she could fix him up for me. I am so happy to say that we picked him up this past weekend and he is better than new, she gave him much sturdier ears, touched up the paint, fixed a few leg fractures and a new coat of lacquer. And wouldn’t take payment for her work. That goes above and beyond anything we would have expected. We happily continue to buy original art at the Red Canoe Gallery and when friends and family visit, it is always on our “must see” places. There is something for everyone in the gallery.
